It’s not. Just going to get heated up again in the turbo. Then cooled at the intercooler. Any gains are from the filter and piping being bigger/smoother.
That’s good news. Are the snaps easily breakable or should they be able to take my painted piece and put it on the new bumper black piece with fogs.
Also is anyone aware of a member who has taken apart the light dial area? I’d love to know how intense that will be adding the fogs button.
Vroom offered about $2500 over sticker for my 22 BB. One of my local Fords refuses to sell above sticker. They still discount. Average BS is about $4k UNDER sticker. But since they’re the only one doing this, they have nothing in stock and you have to order and wait 6 months.
Good luck to you as well. I looked at the bumper today. The little flat panels where the fogs would be are definitely all one solid piece with the bumper. Which explains why the Ford tech said they’d need to replace the bumper.
I’m wondering, there is a small horizontal strip of body color...
The dealer I got it from is a bit far but they were also the most inept and crappy people imaginable. It was the worst possible experience. Let’s just say having to go back TWICE to sign documents they forgot about was the easiest part.
I’m fortunate to have 4 other Ford dealers closer to me...
I just checked my 2022 Big Bend. I have the continental AT tire upgrade. I read how I can drop the floor without the full size spare. But having the tow package, I do unfortunately have the full size one.
To my surprise however the spare is a full on continental AT tire matching the other 4.
So I called Ford’s customer service line. Explained how fog lights are on my window sticker but I don’t have them. She patched in a tech who confirmed this by pulling up my window sticker and build sheet via VIN. She created a case number and said I can go into any dealer to get the fog lights...
I was confused just like you. Thought I was losing my mind and maybe forgot to turn it on. I see the benefits of it, but it would be nice if it turned it back on after a few minutes of fresh air. I’ve never seen it turn back on.
For me it’s the visual they give to the bumper. Breaks up all the plastic down there. But I can live without them if need be. I would like something from Ford however if they can’t get it done. Maybe the rubber seat backs that were also removed from the 21MY lol.
On the 21 yes. Not on the 22.
Tapping on the face of the light dial where the fog button would be feels like it’s just a dead plate cover. So if the pieces in the bumper are just removable plates and the wiring harness is there and it just needs the button face on the inside, it might not be...
For them to do it right, they’d need to cut the bumper holes, add the fogs. Add the wiring harness, and change out the light dial inside to have the fog button. Not sure I’m willing to have all of that done.
But how does this effect things in the future? Won’t the VIN look up for resale...
They were supposed to move push button start and intelligence access on the BB to the convenience package. However it’s listed on every BB window sticker I’ve seen. And unlike the fogs, it actually comes with it.
My 22 BB doesn’t have convenience package but I have push button and intelligent...
At this point I just hope they don’t add it all back in next year. I don’t want to sell her one day and get the “Oh, it’s a 22? Yeah that’s the one year no one wants.”
Same for me. The fogs are tiny and I’m not a fan of how they turn on and off as you turn the wheel (not sure if that’s a setting and you can make them both always on).
The rubber backs and I would have liked the zipper pockets. I think. Anyone with 21MY use them?
