Good day all MPG guys. I've been following this thread for weeks now hoping to have something worth posting. After reading a post about a BS getting 40.3 mpg I was a little skeptical. At first I thought okay possible if coasting on the downside of a mountain pass for 8 miles it would be...
I just completed another weekly test. After filling up the tank and resetting the odometer my range is 487 miles based on the previous week of driving. I usually fill up with less than 50 miles to go to get a more accurate reading. Doing the math by hand the numbers almost match.
The Vibrant stainless steel resonators are 2.25 inch, purchased on Amazon for $120 each, now they are $110 each. I also purchased a manufactured Y, two 90s and two 3" ceramic coated tips. I would have never guessed a 3 cylinder engine could sound so good, on par with a 4 cylinder. Definitely...
I've been testing the modes now for 4 months and come to conclusion that the most mpg gain is a combination of driving inputs and settings.
I'm in Southern Florida so my test track is basically flat as a table everywhere. I'm no more than 50' above sea level and that is only on freeway over...
Good morning, I recently purchased a full set of McGard lugnuts with 4X locking nuts on Amazon. The reviews were pretty much all positive. Only had them a couple of weeks now, first impression is they are a top shelf American made product and are a definite upgrade over the OEM nuts. Torque to...
I just added a full set of McGard Black Chrome Lug Nuts and Bronco Valve Srem Caps. I'm going for almost all full black. Almost there, need to change out the lettering once I get enough points.
I tried recording using my phone with no luck. The recording isn't close to the actual sound. It's a smooth, low, deep sound. Only drone is at cold start up. City and highway sound inside is low. Louder than stock but not distracting or irritating. No need to crank the volume up to hear music...
Those are 2X 2.25" Stainless Steel Vibrant Muffler/Resonators. I purchased on Amazon for $225. Everything is Y'd off behind the rear axle. Didn't touch the CCs.
I've been adding mods since I purchased my OB in Jan. So far the best mod has been my exhaust system. As soon as I started it up with the new Vibrant resonators I knew it was worth it. The new sound transformed it, I never thought 3 cylinders could sound so good. I've put about a dozen other...
The other parts include 3' of exhaust pipe, Y, ceramic coated tips and a can of high heat enamel paint. All were purchased at a local muffler shop, the shop threw in the partial can of paint for free. The cost for these were about $100.Total cost was $325 and about a hour of time
