I am loving the progress! Has anyone been able to see if there is a way to disable hyper-flash with LED tail lights? I am about to splice in load resistors but would rather code it out if its in there like on the F150s.
Also if you’re on iPhone, the new app update brought back the Apple Watch app which allows lock/unlock/remote start from the watch again. It was part of the app earlier this year but terribly buggy… the new version is a lot more stable. I am wondering if the Ford Pass notification had something...
I am thinking of buying 921 (T15) load resistors and splicing them into the lines to the socket and a roll of "thermal adhesive tape" to mount the resistors to the panel behind the tail light without screws.
I am tired of chasing hyper-flash and it looks like ForScan won't be fixing it any time...
Anyone play with the Focal Audio “plug-n-play” speakers? It seems they have a direct model for the Bronco Sport based on their fit guide and recommend the IS-FORD-165 for the front (separate tweeters to replace the ones in the dash) and the IC-FORD-165 for the rear which are coaxial speakers...
That looks great! My only thing is change is I’m going to find a way through the firewall one way or another. That is just how I tend to do the work even if it takes an extra hour.
I wish I knew this would become a thing sooner! Luckily someone on another forum mentioned they’d buy my unused...
Just got the brackets, and the swag is of course my second favorite to the amazing construction of these mounts! A little bit of tinkering here and there and hopefully I will have a finished product to show off soon!
I haven’t decided. I think passenger side will be where most antennas are located by factory, but. I might put it on the driver’s side if it disappears in the A-pillar blind spot well enough. I will just be “test fitting” with a Comet SBB5 I have sitting around since its a similar height to the...
Just bought some A-Pillar light mounts to use one as an antenna mount. Idea is to bore out the hole to accommodate an NMO mount and add the Comet SAR antenna to that spot.
Whichever side I don’t use will likely end up for sale on here for whoever wants to mirror-image my install.
Radios will...
Sold! Just grabbed a pair. Likely going to see which side I prefer the antenna on and then sell the other one on here for anyone wanting a similar setup.
What’s the dimensions of the hole for the light, and what is the dimensions of the bracket itself?
I’m going with a non-lighting use and want to use the mount for an antenna off the A-Pillar for radios. That means I’ll either use a UHF or NMO mount which requires boring the hole out to either...
Related to my Motorola radio install I’ve been trying to plan out - I do have a Whelen siren/PA kit that interfaces with the radio that I’ve debated installing. Since I don’t work emergency management anymore it was going to be more of a “why not” gag solely for the air horn… but should be like...
Glad to see this is still being discussed! I moved and took on a new job during all this so my BS hasn’t been touched yet… but still have radio and dash cams to run.
My install at this point will be just a single radio - a Motorola XTL5000 VHF on the handheld control head. The only reason I’m...
I’m about to add resistors to mine. Did you need to add them to multiple lines or a single one? I’m tired of chasing hyper flash and waiting on ForScan coding.
When you look at the tail lights with the trunk open, there’s a black plastic/rubber trim piece around the inner edge of the assembly towards the trunk seal. Wedge your fingers between the tail light and that trim piece and pull straight back, it is attached by two pop clips and that’s it. The...
I am hoping for some research from fellow forum users so we can eventually find the "perfect bulbs" for the turn signals.
The Lasfit 921A bulbs I had 50/50 success with. The first pair hyperflashed, the second pair didn't for the first few weeks and then started intermittently.
I switched to...
I doubt that pricing will remain like that. The pricing for parts that have been found so far has been ridiculously high (stock 17" Big Bend wheel for $750??) - I think the pricing is that way just because of supply/demand with the backlog of these vehicles.
Give it some time and these prices...
I was one of the first to buy the eliminator module - the FB group was full of critics. 4000+ miles later and 3 months, not a single hiccup... and we have stopped hating the vehicle giving that "bump" every time it fires back up at every damn country road stop sign.
