Mine was definitely a different rail car on the same load. Mine took that exact route on those same dates. But mine still hasn’t made it to the dealer yet. Congrats!
I’m still in the exceptionally annoying wait for it to move from the rail yard to the dealer. The opacity of this particular wait really sucks. It’s roughly 170 miles from rail yard to dealer and I just want to be done waiting.
I’m not sure it’s reliably possible. Some people manage to get road carrier info for that last leg of the trip from final rail destination to dealership but it seems few and far between. I hit up Ford live chat today to see if they had anything and the rep just kept giving my rail carrier and...
My rail car has no status as of just now. It was supposed to reach the final rail destination this morning so I’m hoping “no status” means that it did arrive.
They may not even be allowed to sell them. I have a friend at a dealership who said they have a Mach-E on the lot they’re required to keep for test drives to drive retail orders but they can’t sell it for at least six months.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing pics and impressions! You’ve been as friendly and as helpful here during our long wait as anyone could ask for.
Are you getting updates? I think I’m the current longest wait in the waiting room, though there may be one other. My order was confirmed November 12. But at least mine is made and on a train car. If I’m lucky, end of the month and if I’m unlucky a month from today. ?
My rail car made it to just outside Toledo, OH (Walbridge, to be exact) this morning. Somehow moving east and yet still north despite me being about as far south as you can get. ?
Fantastic breakdown from @MJE above. I do wish the BL had a few of the creature comfort and color options the OB has, but beyond those the decision really came down the the functionality of the larger engine, additional GOAT modes, etc. I wanted the extra ponies under the hood.
My order looked like the one @Escape2Bronco just posted. CO BL with carbonized gray roof as a $0 option. ?‍♂️
My vehicle is still in Illinois this morning but seems to be moving again. I’d love to be driving it before August.
Mine cruised along the rails at a nice pace until it reached the East St Louis interchange on Sunday. There it still sits for now.
The good news is I chatted with my sales guy yesterday and he confirmed both price protection at the $1k retail order incentive.
I do feel like the train movement is satisfying. I got my “shipped” email on Wednesday morning and have called each morning pleasantly surprised at the progress. It left Kansas this morning.
