  1. New Bronco Sport trimline II - the call a priest

That's exactly what's happening. In fairness to myself, I've never had another car that does that. What's next? Telling me that there's no actual Nigerian prince that can help me access vast, unclaimed wealth?
  2. New Bronco Sport trimline II - the call a priest

? I'll be the happiest person at the dealership if it's only an odd engineering design, even when everyone points and laughs as I drive away.
  3. New Bronco Sport trimline II - the call a priest

Asked if my screen name can change to "I-gor" via the forum's contact us page. Will see what happens.
  4. New Bronco Sport trimline II - the call a priest

Side note: think I've finally settled on a permanent profile picture, which also sort of explains why the BS is freaking out. Frau Bleucher!
  5. New Bronco Sport trimline II - the call a priest

Pretty sure my BS is possessed. Window switch replaced a couple weeks ago and now a brand spankin' new issue with the right wiper arm no longer going back to the resting position. It's most noticable using intermittent settings. Have an appointment tomorrow morning to get it checked out and...
  6. I spoke too soon. Or I jinxed it.

AAA probably has a good quality battery on their truck that fits if you need one. Definitely saved me a ton of hassle when my old car died at a rest stop.
  7. What's the worst exterior mod you've done, or viewed done?

Not a mod, but least favorite for me is the "not keeping wheels brake dust free" look. Only takes a sudsy bucket of Meguiar's soap, a microfiber wash mitt and a few minutes a week to keep 'em looking good.
  8. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Find a Ford dealer with a service department that does good warranty work -- it'll make a huge difference. I lucked out and have one on the way to/from work. Also, Ford Corporate watches these threads and may step in to help get everything fixed.
  9. Average age of a Bronco Sport owner

OP, you may be another Bronco Sport owner, but still...get off my lawn! :sunglasses:
  10. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Can't believe I'm typing this, but doubt it'll happen. New switch panel feels much more substantial than the original. Comparison for old folks like me: it's the tactile difference between an IBM Selectric keyboard and a current generic USB one.
  11. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Got some deserved burns for overreacting and only used the ignore button for a couple knuckleheads. Not too bad.
  12. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Salesman at the dealership was extremely helpful and I traded it in on a two owner 2017 Alfa Romeo Stelvio with just over 66k miles. Actually, it's a keeper. Relieved that the issue only required a quick repair under warranty. No idea why everyone else was so worried about it.
  13. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Good news...there's a cure! You can always click "ignore" for just me or for the entire thread. So rise up, go forth, grab some Tim Hortons like I've done and swing from clouds (if you've ever seen Spiderman '67 reruns you get the reference).
  14. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Yup. Really expected the back wiper switch would be the first one to break, TBH.
  15. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Check the updated thread heading. I can deal with minor warranty covered inconveniences if that's how it turns out.
  16. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Not even remotely. If a switch is the genuine fix, I'll be very relieved.
  17. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Took about an hour. Diagnosed by the local dealer as a bad driver window control switch. Part's on order. Have to make trip two tomorrow.
  18. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

If it happens, I'll do my best to not let you down, sir.
  19. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Dang. Know that one still stings.
  20. New Bronco Sport trimline - the covered by warranty

Scheduled for warranty service first thing Tuesday morning. Will post how it goes. (Some excellent responses, btw. Appreciate the laughs. ?)
