That's exactly what's happening. In fairness to myself, I've never had another car that does that. What's next? Telling me that there's no actual Nigerian prince that can help me access vast, unclaimed wealth?
Pretty sure my BS is possessed. Window switch replaced a couple weeks ago and now a brand spankin' new issue with the right wiper arm no longer going back to the resting position. It's most noticable using intermittent settings. Have an appointment tomorrow morning to get it checked out and...
AAA probably has a good quality battery on their truck that fits if you need one. Definitely saved me a ton of hassle when my old car died at a rest stop.
Not a mod, but least favorite for me is the "not keeping wheels brake dust free" look. Only takes a sudsy bucket of Meguiar's soap, a microfiber wash mitt and a few minutes a week to keep 'em looking good.
Find a Ford dealer with a service department that does good warranty work -- it'll make a huge difference. I lucked out and have one on the way to/from work. Also, Ford Corporate watches these threads and may step in to help get everything fixed.
Can't believe I'm typing this, but doubt it'll happen. New switch panel feels much more substantial than the original. Comparison for old folks like me: it's the tactile difference between an IBM Selectric keyboard and a current generic USB one.
Salesman at the dealership was extremely helpful and I traded it in on a two owner 2017 Alfa Romeo Stelvio with just over 66k miles. Actually, it's a keeper. Relieved that the issue only required a quick repair under warranty. No idea why everyone else was so worried about it.
Good news...there's a cure! You can always click "ignore" for just me or for the entire thread. So rise up, go forth, grab some Tim Hortons like I've done and swing from clouds (if you've ever seen Spiderman '67 reruns you get the reference).
