  1. North Carolina A Bunch of Interior Goodies (Some Free)

I'll take the center console organizer. And I'm not worried that you did not post your username and date:like: I know this is something sites request to protect their members with purchases, but the group here knows you are a trusted and valued member. I started a conversation with you as well...
  2. Got the PCM recall programing done

I will check that. The service advisor did state that he checked the settings, and that they were good, but I'll double check. I would like for this to be a simple thing and prevent me from having down time from work (or personal time), plus the lack of transportation if they have to keep it.
  3. Defective Battery, Recall 24S24 and other topics

Easily done...turn it off after starting.
  4. Got the PCM recall programing done

Parks Ford in Gainesville Florida gets a big thumbs up for quick and courteous handling of the recall. My appointment was for 8:15 AM. I got there early (7:30) with a breakfast in hand. They had me out by 8:00 AM! I had asked them to also look at the feature for drifting off to the side and not...
  5. Heaven forbid something happened to your Bronco Sport... what are you going to get next?

You are on target Mark with the fuel economy issue of comparing a Jeep Cherokee to the Bronco Sport. Doubtful that the Jeep is going to be as good as the Bronco Sport fuel mileage wise. However, there is a question I'd also be asking, and that would be the reliability/repair/recall issues...
  6. Fair lease deal on a 2024FBS Badlands?

Here's something else to ask the dealership...when the BS goes in for warranty work, are they going to give you a loaner vehicle? If they say yes, get it in writing! If no, I'd walk from the deal.
  7. Sunshade is broken at 7K miles

If it's a 2023 and less than the warranty mileage, then yes, it should be covered.
  8. So here’s a really dumb question for y’all.

Beats me; sounds like a sales gimmick.
  9. "Check Brake System"

Basic OBD-II scanners do not detect/report brake or seat belt errors. A better or more costly scanner is needed.
  10. Heaven forbid something happened to your Bronco Sport... what are you going to get next?

I just sold my beloved 2007 Ford F-150, which was very dependable. I wanted to drive and put more miles on the BS since it sat in the garage most of its time until now. It has to do as good as the truck did, or its gone.
  11. So here’s a really dumb question for y’all.

They say: "A ten degree difference (temperature)" Really?
  12. So here’s a really dumb question for y’all.

I was afraid of this which is why I never bought them. Much like the aftermarket LED light bar for pickups that mount under the tailgate; the LED's start to burn out after a few months.
  13. Too many repairs by 63k miles, 2021 Outer Banks

I'm thinking loooong and hard if I want to keep this BS I have. its a 2023 Outer Banks, but with all the poor service reported (none yet with my dealer however) and other mechanical issues that get reported on this site, I'm starting to experience buyers remorse. I've been a loyal and happy Ford...
  14. Water Pump replaced

    I don't blame you.
  15. Cat guard (prevent catalytic converter theft) and sliders skid plates installed

I found this when I googled "how many catalytic converters are there on a bronco sport: Primary catalytic converter is on the Turbo downtube followed by a secondary catalytic converter located under “metal” covering on badlands model (the JCR cat skid plate goes over the secondary catalytic...
  16. NEW APPLE CARPLAY

I had talked a few years back with a SW engineer who stated that car manufacturers were going to change direction on how they would offer GPS...they would no longer offer updated maps, but rather allow Apple maps and android maps to display onto a screen provided by the automobile manufacturers...
  17. The new Recall is out now.

Mine goes in this Friday to have it done.
  18. Traded my Big Bend for a Badlands

I agree with your statement "manly-sized" length and girth". Seems most are into looks over function these days.
  19. 21' Badlands check engine light (codes 0456 & 0496)

Google netted this: If there was a P0456 and you cleaned the filler neck and now there is a P0496, usually these 2 codes are caused by the canister purge valve not sealing. Usually when the filler flap is not sealing it causes a P0457.Apr 15, 2024 The tech would be correct. You could try...
  20. Fuel Stabilizer ???

Thanks for reporting your findings. This should help those who plan a long trip and want to know how to leave the BS in hibernation.
