Thanks for posting this! I’m still on an 8 so resolve to buy a 16 pro once readily available. This could be a great use!
But then I’d be happy if the app still worked with my watch. It’s now demanding I set a passcode, which is enough of a pain on my phone. I don’t need a passcode for...
I was lying in bed at the time waking up to my alarm. Hearing the news of the first tower hit & not comprehending as I wasn’t really awake yet. It took about an hour into the day & everybody was starting to grasp what was happening & gathering around every tv that could be found to try to...
And with that said I’d better add my vote to the pile. While I haven’t always been over the moon with mine, I can say it’s absolutely been free of any issues that might leave one at the side of the road. 22 BL, 20,000mi/30,000kms or so.
What would that 1975 Pinto have cost? $5K? Or was that a price class higher than the Pinto at the time? Run that through an inflation calculator today, that’s $30K… yeah. Ok it’s a little tough maybe to get into a Sport for $30K now, but it’s not far off. So your comparison is doubly valid...
Yup, I’m thankful I don’t have to go back to driving anything that old. Start of pandemic, had to have something better & more reliable than a 13yo & 27yo vehicle. Test drive time. I had no idea how to start a car without putting a key in the ignition…. Now I won’t consider anything without...
This might be my upgrade route as well. Certainly I’ve posted contemplating the Ranger before as a truck guy. Even if I’m hauling a box of air. The upgrades are nice, but not enough to trade my 22 for a 25 BS.
Certainly Evolutionary rather than revolutionary for the 25 BS. I’d like to say...
Oh man I remember when Sirius first came out & it wasn’t available in Canada. The satellite coverage of course was just fine & living where they had one AM station’s worth of coverage, satellite radio was an absolute godsend! A shop in town imported the receivers somehow & sold them for what...

I’m told that your standard 120V house outlet is enough. I guess in theory. Otherwise it sounds like the circuit needs 240V for a decent home charger setup.
Honestly I think regulators will have to adjust to consumers on this one. The market simply isn’t moving as fast as some would like. Hybridization makes a lot of sense & seems to be as much electrification as many, myself included, are willing to adopt at this point in time. Right now Toyota...
I have to agree that home charging infrastructure is certainly a barrier to adoption. I can see it in rental apartments for sure, though it seems new higher end condo builds are starting to have EV chargers in them.
But even single family homes with garages like mine aren’t setup with...

Now this would truly be the future! If it can work in Norway it should prove this tech could work in northern & less than hospitable climates. Right now it appears it’s being deployed for BRT busses, which here have their own...
My sister bought a 24 forester (surely most of it is related to the outback) & loves it after having her last forester for 20 years. So I hope yours is half as good & you enjoy it as much!
Darn. I never go in the app as it’s hardly very good, so had to try it with these threads & discovered I’ve been updated.
The lock/unlock still don’t work, though I thought the vehicle start did work one day. But at least my Apple Watch no longer works either!
Thanks though for all the...
Hopefully their idea of more hybrids does come to pass. I’m certainly interested in that technology for my next vehicle even though I can’t/won’t go full EV. There are a lot of advantages to hybrids, though even then many traditionalists won’t like that much technology.
Interesting though...
