If it was originally a 2021 order that converted to 2022, then yes it's possible it got dropped in the conversion since it became a stand-alone option.
On my Badlands, Sand mode engages the center diff lock and turns off traction control.
If your engine is revving up and down on its own, then there is something wrong.
It was added as an option for 2022. If you ordered in September it was available. Note that a moonroof is a separate option for 2022 also and not automatically included in the premium package. So it's more likely your salesperson dropped the ball on that, not Ford.
My family member just informed me her dealer said her BL has been released from the plant and should arrive in the next couple of weeks. The tracker has not updated yet. This was for a 12/6 production week.
I haven't noticed any adverse handling yet, but until this morning had less than 100 miles on the vehicle and we don't have a lot of snow packed conditions.

First, what air pressure is in your tires? I've found over the years that it's important to run the minimum amount of pressure to ensure good tread contact in slick conditions. You should have 33 psi cold. I picked up our BS last week and the air pressure...
Thanks all, I like how the grey ties together with the BL wheels and grille, but black looks good too. We were somewhat undecided but glad we went with the grey for something different. One of these days when the sun comes out I'll try to get some better pics....

This sums it up for me too...except I have my '70 Bronco instead of a FJ. But the '70 is not a highway cruiser or daily driver so the BS fits the bill well and gives us some additional capability over a standard SUV if needed.
We would love to have a two-door 6G but not sure it fits the bill...
