Your best bet is to negotiate it with your dealer ahead of time. I'd ask them to install the new tires of your choosing for delivery for much smaller price difference than price of the new set.
This forum is probably not the right place to unload OEM tires like Pirelli. I'm thinking that my...
Thanks for confirming 225s vs 235s weight specs info.
I had always assumed that larger diameter tire with wider contact surface (more resistance) and generally heavier negatively affects the fuel economy. With Falken 235s being lighter than 225s it makes me scratch my head wondering if that's...
Thanks for pointing that out. I was filtering Tirerack results down to snow rated only and A/T3W version wasn't showing up. I assumed it was either sold out or not offered in that size (it's available according to Falken's site). Checking out your search I see now that they must've mislabeled...
Tirerack is a good source, it's just hard to narrow it down based on my criteria. About the only reason I didn't mention Falken Wildpeak AT3W is cause I didn't see them on Tirerack or at my preferred local shop in size I mentioned. Have no experience with Toyo.
Choices, choices. I plan on staying with 225/65R17 tire size. My picks so far: Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015, Scorpion All Terrain Plus and Falken WildPeak A/T Trail.
My driving pattern is 90% highway with half of that over mountain terrain, another 5% in town and last 5% over hilly...
Here's how it turned out. Was a bit colder setting in than I would've liked so kept it garaged for 2-3 days after the installation. Tested it today and all staying in place. I like it. As I said before, definitely a 2 person job. Next stop is new tires.
Used warm weather today to give Baby Bronco a good wash as this may be the last chance til next year. And then installed the door molding, which was definitely a 2 person job.
Good point. Mine was impressive 28/29 MPG in the first month of ownership. I couldn't figure out why I never get that anymore - it hovers over around 24/25 now. That must've been the hood deflector but I'll see where it's at by the 1st oil change. FTR, I'm fine keeping it on.
I've been trying to figure out my MPG drop and seeing your post it makes sense now. ? I'll still keep mine on due to where I drive though. It's a compromise in the end.
Never considered upgrading tires before they are used up. So what do you all do with the old tires with 3-5K on them? Sell them (how?), part with them (what a waste) or keep them? I personally have no use for a second set.
Roughly 2500 miles so far and I had one come up, which turns out to be a user error so no major or concerning issues so far. That is impressive considering 1st year model.
About the only issue that annoys me is plastic creaking/rubbing on the front passenger side when car body flexes. And it...
OK, this is gonna be a stupid question for some of you, but I'm going for it anyways... ? Could one safely go up in tire size w/o changing the wheels? Badlands, and perhaps other trims too, is offered with 2 tire sizes 225/65-R17 and 235/65-R17. Is that OK to move up to 235 from 225?
