Not done but I started fabbing up a custom shifter to fit in the small hole on the center console between the two cup holders. Not sure if I'll make my own arm or aquire one. I really need somewhere to rest my hand while driving.
I'm sorry I like lowered vehicles. I really thought about lowering the BS and everyone told me no way. I could see that dropped 2-3 inches with those 20,s and look bad azz.
Bout the same build date too. Mine was in the spare tire area rolling around. I am missing engine cover and the passenger under dash cover which neither bother me.
I've had my HRG lift on a little over a week now. I drive 35 miles to work and back home everyday at 75 mph. Today I took it out for a good test and went up over a pass and back. Lot of tricky climbing and some fast fire roads getting there. So far I am very impressed with the kit. No...
I put the HRG lift on a week ago. Great service, good quality. Love the way it looks and rides. No noises at all, drives just has before only you can tell your sitting higher.
Finished up my HRG lift install tonight. It's dark so no pics but I did take it for a test drive. Had to come back and adjust a dust shield on the front through the rim. I added a little more camber and it's seems to drive even better. Can't wait to pull up along side some vehicles tomorrow.
I drove by the the dealership I bought my ST at to see what was around. They had just detailed a big brother so I took a few pics. No matter what angle I looked at these two side by side they sure appear a different color thru my eyes and camera lens.
My kit arrived but is being held hostage by the post office. When I get my hands on it I will be installing and Ill take some pics and start a thread on this. To answer your question, no unless you trim the strut wrong and its not worn out you could reinstall it without the lift.
It is a really simple procedure that only takes a minute or two each side with the proper tool. They say you don't have to trim them. It is extremely close when the suspension is hanging or fully extended. I have the hrg kit arriving in a couple days and will have it installed before next weekend.
I'm adjusting to most of the oddities but there is two I do Not like about ford's. Stereo volume controls either on the back side of the steering wheel or on the right side of the wheel would be much preferred. A stalk for cruise on the right would be choice also. I'm so annoyed with having to...
doesn't the tow pkg come with the full size spare so the rear tray just sits on the higher groove? when they were installing my new wheels/tires I pulled the spare and threw a new rim tire in and the cover went back on just fine. Tires were 245 65r 17.
