I was pointing out the fact that the thread title referred to Heritages, without any distinguishing between Heritage and HL. Obviously, Heritages are quite plentiful and sounds like will make the cut for 2024, and Limited, which as you so asutely reminded us, is Limited to 1,966 and will not be...
I think this depends on whether we are talking about the Heritage or the Heritage Limited. I tend to agree that if you pay $45k for a Limited, which sounds like it is being discontinued, you might want to preserve it in factory condition. However, a Heritage itself is just a BB with a different...
The BFG's own printed specs has the 245/65/17 at 45 lbs:
I have always run KO2s on my trucks and I love em, but I just didn't want the Sport to feel like it has lead feet - especially with the 1.5L Dragon.
As far as the 235/65/17 AT3Ws I put on, they have been really solid. Noise has not...
The 245 Wildpeak AT3W are not Ford spec. Ford had Falken make the 235/65/17 to certain specifications to meet OEM requirements, such as more rounded edges, smaller sidebiters - and most importantly much less weight. The 235/65/17 weights 31 lbs (the OEM Contis I believe are 28 lbs). To show...
With a lift. definitely go with the 245/65/17. I would stick with the Toyo Open Country AT III or the BFG Trail Terrain or Falken Wildpeak AT Trail with a 1.5L engine though as they mitigate the weight issue that you encounter with KO2s and the Wildpeak AT3W (both 40 lbs or more per corner). I...
If Terrain is a color for the Sport in 2024 like it was added for the Maverick, that might scratch the itch some have had on here for like a Baja Tan color. It is a light beige (probably a shade too light), but a interesting color. Been featured on the Raptor in years past.
Apparently, the...
That is a lot of deleted colors. I can't believe that they deleted A51 and Cyber Orange, those have been two colors that Ford has highlighted for this generation of Fords - Broncos, BS and Mav. Wouldn't surprise me if they did the same with the Sport.
I keep a 1.5 ton low profile floor jack in the spare tire well. (I keep the donut so I can fit this). I ordered another used BB 17" wheel and I plan on mounting a Falken 235 on this as a spare. I guess I'll have to decide to take this out and move the full size in. But man, I hate OEM jacks.
So order banks were due to open today for the Sport (not sure if they actually did). Build and Price is still not updated (not uncommon, usually lags for a few weeks behind the order bank). However, surely someone can see the DORA system and let us know the changes, colors, updates, etc.
I really do think if ppl saw that video nearly everyone would order it. Lots of folks don't know that it basically takes up no room if stored against the seat.
And yes, I know if you order the 235/65/17 from factory the speedo is calibrated for that. I was merely pointing out that Ford is aware of a desire for larger tires.
I'm sure they would, but they also are fully aware that many choose to upgrade (including Ford from 225/65/17 to 235/65/17). I would guess that if you did increase the diameter they would prefer you recalibrate.
A euphonium is a low brass instrument that is very similar to a baritone, but has 4 valves instead of 3 valves. While it is smaller than a tuba, it is pretty large instrument.
I would think that Ford dealers would desire to get the speedo recalibrated because whatever % the speedo is off, the odometer will read less by the same %. So if you are looking a 3.5% miscalculation for larger tires (about the difference at 65 mph for a switch from 225/65/17 to 245/65/17...
So had to take two kids off to a band camp this week. That meant two large suitcases, duffel of provisions, bedding/pillows, a cased french horn and a case euphonium. In other words, a fair amount. Not to mention the instruments can't slide or roll around. I was originally going to take my...
