I have 245/60/18 on my OBX all stock. Lots of threads here on this topic.
how much did ti throw your speedo out? its good to know that the 245's fit with no issues as jumping up to a 235 from my 225 openes up a ton more choices.

It throws it off by about 2 km/h at neighbourhood arterial road speeds which are 60 km/h (40mph)

… about 3 km/h at the 100 km/h (60mph) speed on the freeway I take to work

I always have CarPlay going with Google Maps on my screen (it’s a 2025 so it’s the big screen) which shows the posted speed and my actual speed beside each other. If my actual exceeds the posted the number turns from white to orange to warn me

I’m usually driving with adaptive cruise on even on the neighbourhood arterial roads. I set it at the posted limit and let my actual speed go 2 or 3 over. Helps me avoid tickets which keeps my insurance premiums where I need them to be. Also helps with the automatic breaking when behind a vehicle coming to a red light when I’m maybe not paying as close of attention as I should be lol. I like that the adaptive cruise will bring you to a complete stop if it needs to, pretty cool.

… and here’s some pics. I’ve included a couple that show how much wider and taller the 245 60 is over the 225 60 beside each other. I like how the 245 fills out the wheel well more since the 60 is a ratio to width. And of course I got rid of the ā€œpizza cutterā€ look of the 225 which was my main goal going to this size.

The one thing I’m not crazy about is how far the sidewall of the 245 sticks out past the 7ā€ wide rim. I wish the factory OBX wheels (which I really like aesthetically) were 8ā€ or had an 8ā€ option.

I might go down to a 235 for my winter tires and grab some Continental VikingContact 8. I have my 225 Dunlop winter tires for sale locally.

Update:

When the vehicle itself indicates I’m doing 60km/h (40mph) Google fluctuates between 61 and 62

I know when I’m on the freeway doing 100 to 105 as indicated by the vehicle’s speedo, Google always says I’m 3 higher than that (103 to 108).

looks good, and there is no rubbing on a full turn? I don't expect there to be it is only 20mm wider and of that about 7mm taller.

No rubbing. Had this size (or 245/65/17) since December of last year. All is good at this size. Been proven no issues by numerous other people, as well. Any bigger, you start needing to trim pinch welds and what not.
