It was a Great adventure!
We are hoping to do route 66 in the next year. Not off-road, but still should be a fun trip. In the meantime, we will be running around the preserves and Everglades in SW Florida.

We have done large portions of Route 66 this and last winter. June we will be traveling in a caravan of vintage campers leaving Illinois meeting with another group coming from California. We are meeting 1/2 way in Amarillo Texas for their Route 66 100th celebration. Over 60 rigs! For that trip we will be driving my 78 Pinto Cruising Wagon towing a Taylor Coach Bobbie

We took a tour. It was put on by BAM Adventure tours. It is Brian and Melissa Clarks tour company in conjunction with Baja Legends Tour. https://bamadventuretours.com/events/ It was a week long all inclusive , rooms, food included. You brought your own vehicle. Not paid by the tour, gas , Mexican insurance, Mexican travel visa. We wanted to go with a tour as I was unsure traveling alone. I now feel I could travel there without a group, at least in Baja, but the group provided a sense of security , plus the people were fun to be around! Now we have new life long friends.

Was wondering if that is a Belltech lift you have on your Bronco?

No, just a Zone leveling kit. I wanted just a little lift in the front so I went with the Maverick kit. That kit uses a 1/4 inch spring spacer and 3/4 plate bolted to the top of the strut. I I only used the the plate as I tow a lot and the front lifts up when the trailer is attached already. In the rear I added air bags to minimize squat while towing.
