Bro, sport will eat gas like a fat kid loves cake. It's like dating a stripper, fun, but you are going to go broke. Just listen to the engine. It's like a feral kitten, it will rumble and purr but it's gonna bite you. Also from what I have read in the forums it's not meant to be used 80% of the time. As an afterthought we should all remember that the goat modes do more than just engage the clutches differently they also change the gearing, virtually so to speak, but they do. And sport mode as fun as it is will eat gas like galactus does planets

As an afterthought. I believe the computed gas range and mileage are based on drive mode, not just the actual tank volume

A well written and entertaining comment !

Are you a creative writer ? If not, you should be !

The daytime temperature in Toronto over the last week or so has been between - 5 and - 10 C. I have also noticed a drop in gas mileage when using the Sport mode of my BSBB. And I warm up the engine longer under these conditions.

Cheers

Yes I am writing a book, but no talking about sport modes is just fun. Pm me and I'll send you my first chapter of the fantasy book I'm writing, all shit talk is welcomed. Also, Jeez how cold does it get there. Does it effect how you drive?

I appreciate everyone's response. Like True North Sport, I'm also in southern Ontario, it's been very cold here lately, sure that might effect gas mileage
I recently filled up with premium and have been utilizing the fuel economy gage, trying to keep the line near the 9.5 l/100km, keeping the bronco in normal mode, and have noticed an improvement in the gas usage
I realized my style of driving can be heavy on the throttle. With this turbo engine I'll need to monitor that for better fuel economy
