Thanks so much for these. Did you have a chance to watch the video I posted?

Both my Pigtail and HL assy, only had 6 total wires. This appears to have 9.
I did, but I did not pay make the correlation between how many wires the harness has int he diagrams and how many are in your vehicle.

Do you have FORScan? I am not sure if there is some kind of self test for the HCM in FORScan; fortunately never had any issues with mine. If your Fordpass is connected, message me the VIN and I can pull any codes it may be reporting to the cloud.

The diagrams that have been posted show 7 wires per headlight. I know my headlights only have 6 wires. In the diagrams it shows 2 ground wires on pins 8 and 9, spliced together and then on to ground. Not sure why that is when (I would bet) everyone probably only has a single ground wire on each headlight on either pin 8 or pin 9. I think the problem on yours is that (IMO) you need to repin the connector on the driver's side to move the wire in the pin 8 position to the pin 9 position. Cheers!

Does anyone know definitely if the 2024 BB had a different part number LH Headlight than the 21,22,23?

I'm just trying to determine if it was replaced with an incorrect assy?

Not sure. I don't have access to the parts catalog. You may have to contact your local dealer and ask. I would go by in person as opposed to calling over the phone.

I do not but I’ve looked before … you need your VIN number and a Ford parts person to look up the 2024 BB LH headlamp part #

And is easy to locate VIN #s for 2021, 2022, 2023 BBs if I want the Ford parts person to cross check if same headlamp part # for ‘21-‘24

Ford does not publish a searchable part number list - the Ford parts person can search for you using the VIN and specific models

A wire harness de-pin tool. These are used in aviation.
I agree. There is a pin removal tool, possibly proprietary, for this. What I would do, though, is cut the applicable wire at the male plug and route it separately (via a quick-disconnect and a splice) to the target wire in the socket. You can insert any quick-disconnect to facilitate future repair; what you'd be doing should be obvious to the next poor tech working on this.

The hardest part is figuring out how the connector shells come apart and how the pins release. Here's a decent video for all kinds of connectors:
Cheers!

When you first posted about the mismatch pin placement I thought you may have bought the vehicle used and a prior owner made the headlamp swap - several owners have posted about doing that at least one was a 2024
Is that your guess?

No, I think in my case it was just a bad repair and replacing a headlight that was non-conforming to the original chassis, but this Chinese replacement seems to be built to fit any chassis
