Changed my oil for the first time on my own Bronco Sport BB 23 At 14000. Stevens Ford was to do it and screwed me. I’m finished with Stevens Ford in Medford NY awful dealer. You can get to all the screws for the cover easily, without lifting no problem taking cover off about 16 torx. Couldn’t jack from front so put jack between wheel well, on passenger side this caused a problem with the catch pan, had to hold pan up. Got a little oil on driveway. My bad next time Will do drivers side for jack. Filter was easy to get to From under unlike my Taurus easier on the top.. The drain plug with the ring worked well, went in easy a turn and it was secure. Used Fords FL910S filter and motorcraft 5W20. Hopefully I will get faster, as I generally have always worked repairs myself and changed oil on my own on all my cars. My neighbor has ramps so might try that, next time. Reset my oil indicator unlike Stevens Ford that failed to do that second oil change. All good but takes 6.6 quarts so I purchased 2 jugs. Happy camper!

save your sales receipts for record keeping and warranty protection
I document the date/odometer/no. of quarts right on the flap of the filter box
filter box top and sales receipt retained in glove box alongside other paperwork

I changed my oil of my 24 BL last weekend. Drove up on ramps and used a floor jack and jack stands in the rear to level it out. The splash pad was no big deal. I loosened the two 13mm bolts in the rear then used my knees to support it while I removed the other 13mm bolts and the T30 torx fasteners. Drained the old oil (15mm) and replaced the filter with a Purolator Boss. Six and a half quarts of 5W-30 Mobil 1. Reinstalled the pan, again using my knees to support it while I inserted the first two fasteners. Easy job!

Definitely invest in a pair of nice ramps, they easily stow away and make a huge difference when working on your car, even if it's just to get a jack under.

I went to change my oil a couple of days ago and I live in a gravel yard. I tried to drive up on a 4x6 block and use my creeper to get underneath the car, not enough room. I went to the local oil change place, and they would not use my oil, but they would use my filter. So, I went back to Walmart and got my money back for the oil and the drain pan. Next year I will have the ramps to get it in the air and get an offroad creeper. $124.67, what a joke. i am using CARFAX to record my maintenance. Has anybody tried to jack both wheels off the ground using a floor jack in the middle of the pinch weld?
