The lack of an engine cover is typical for the de-contenting practice by Ford/Lincoln where inconsequential parts are eliminated either intentionally for cost cutting or unintentionally due to supply or contract issues.

Many vehicles, including turbos have engine covers today. The heat thing is BS. It's the cost savings on each vehicle sold. Automobile manufacturers have been deleting items. Looks at the last 4-5 years on the BS.
What I find weird is, like today, the BS goes into sleep mode when not used for a while with the battery maintainer connected with the battery at full charge.
