My wife and I intend to do mild off roading in the Subaru like we did with the BSBB, especially since it has nearly 1" more ground clearance. And like it or not : It's all about the Benjamins.
Checking the prices on new BS they are almost the same as my 26 Subaru Forester and I've gotten WAY more bang for my buck with all the standard features on the Premier edition including a sun roof. Not to mention that I DID NOT have to pay $500 extra for my Crimson Red colour.
Smart move. Traded in mine with only 19,000 miles on it for the 26 Forester. Where I bought my 22 BSBB they still have 28 2025 BS for sale. Just don't think they're selling well.
I TOTALLY hear you. I had mine 3 years and with all the recalls and the fact that there were so many problems with the original 3 banger that I just did NOT trust the car anymore. My one daughter lives 5 hours away and I just would not go there with the BS. Traded it in on a 26 Subaru Forester...
Your reasoning about the recalls I think is spot on. Good Lord I just went in for "The works "and the seat belt recall, Service advisor told me there were 2 additional recalls I didn't even know about. 🤬
Yes I highly recomend the Powerstop ceramic pads. I coupled them with Powerstop slotted and drilled rotors on all 4 wheels of my 06 PT Cruiser Route 66 Edition. Combined with the standard yellow calipers they look great at car shows plus they still stop on a dime after 8 years on the PT. Even my...
I"ve been wondering about this with my 22 BSBB which does NOT have them , What happens in those automatic car washes ? I"d hate to see the blades get ripped off by the brushes mid wash.
I totally ignore it. My wife had a 2014 Malibu. At 1300 miles it was down to 5%. That was it for me. GM gimmick to get you in the shop. Oil and WIX filter every every 5000 miles for me. . Used to do 3500 but these new oils are so much better. Just took my 22 BSBB in for The Works on Tuesday...
