Well, Subaru never owned SAAB. GM bought out half of the company in 1989, and then bought the other half in 2000. But yeah, they were one of the de-facto snow belt car brands before AWD became super common. My 900s on snow tires were virtually unstoppable in the winter.

Over two years and ≈23k miles and still zero issues with our baby Bronco. Solid enough that I have a Maverick hybrid on order to replace my 21 year old F-150.

I should clarify that all-in the boat, on trailer, with fuel and accessories is right about 2000#.

Most every tank has averaged just a tick under 30MPG with our OBX, in mixed driving, mostly rural/"light suburbia" conditions.

Seems like the base models are the rarest of the bunch. I've only spotted a couple of those with the telltale un-tinted rear windows.
