I too am having the exact same problem with shudder--I bought 2 brocos-a 2021 and a 2022 both with the 1.5 engine. so i took the 2021 to the dealer 2 weeks ago and they loaded a software update and proble went away for i day and then it came back. so i took the 2022 bronco spoert in to have the software upgraded and the dealer says ford has pulled the software update. in talking with service mgr who just bought a 2022 bronco sport he is having the same problem with shudder. he says the engine shits down I cylinder for fuel economy and thats when it hapeens and the reason ford pulled the software shows that they are aware of the problem and in a few months there may be a new software update to fix this problem. so i will wait a few months--the service manager says MANY others are having the same problem. All ford is telling the techs is to test another car on the lot and if it has the same problem then its a normal charactistic of that model which the service manager says is BS..so i guess if enough people complain ford will issue another software fix that address the cylinder shutdown-----please complain about this to ford-any thoughts from anyone having the same problem????-

I noticed this as well while test driving a base model BS with the 1.5. I just thought it was a 3 cylinder thing. My Jeep patriot 4 Cylinder did the same thing on idle. It felt like it was going to fall apart with the vibrations.

WOW--Thank you so so much for wanting to check on the status of my shudder problem with BOTH of my bronco sprorts--2021 big ben Vin #3fmcr9b63mrb01012 and on the 2022 outbanks the vin # is 3fmcr9c63nrd13134. the 2021 was purchased on 12/22/21 and the 2022 was purchased on 1/11/22 both from the same dealership which is : Preston's Boulevard ford/lincoln, 40 georgetown rd. georgetown, delaware. 19947.. my contact information is Barry Cooper, 23258 Cedar Lane, Georgetown, delaware 19947--phone is 302-390-7667. As i stated in the forum write-up the software was upgraded on the 2021 and problem went completely away for one day but then it came back. Then i took the 2022 in to have the software update and the dealer told me that Ford pulled the update. The dealer is very nice but is reluctant to call Ford Technical Support becuse he says they will get mad at him because it is doing the same thing on 2 different cars and always conclude that its a characteristic of that model . There is definately something wrong as MANY people are having the exact same problem even the service manager-Skip who just bought a new bronco sport at the same dealership. I was hoping that Ford could send a senior Technician to the dealership and take a test drive with me but the dealer says they dont do that anymore. so having said that can a factory tech CALL my dealer and work with the dealer tech??? I am only 5 mins to the dealer and bring my cars there at a moments notice.
Thanks again for your help--please call me if you find out anything. My regular email is : [email protected] and my cell phone is 302-390-7667

I feel a vibration like i were driving over small bumps (1.5 at 1500 rpm 10mph), It seems that it is caused in the transmission but I do not feel it in the sport mode.
Does the same thing to someone?

I've read a similar message in the post "On this episode of, Is this noise normal? (https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/on-this-episode-of-is-this-noise-normal.2574/)" But it doesn't seem to happen to anyone else.
I have been tracking this down and have isolated the issue to this. Low load condition, low speed, low RPM, torque converter is locked up and it is in a reasonably high gear, 5th. So basically you have a two cylinder engine propelling your car at low speed in a higher gear. Perfectly normal to experience a mild shudder in these conditions. I don't like it but it is normal. I am wonder if Ford will program out cylinder deactivation at these lower speeds. I will post some freeze frame data concerning this issue.
