I have. Back in 2018 I ordered my JL Rubicon. Took a little over 4 months to get it. During that pictures were posted of Jeeps sitting in a lot outside the plant for months. All of them awaiting some part or another that was constrained at the time, and 2 door with soft tops (what I ordered) had production delays for two months due to lack of soft tops. You never see lots of Jeep wranglers parked like this.
I also did the same thing. My Rubicon order was a long time !!I have. Back in 2018 I ordered my JL Rubicon. Took a little over 4 months to get it. As an added bonus, some of the Jeeps were destroyed in a fire. As I recall had something to do with the 4 cylinder models. Those got delayed even further as they figured out a way for them to not catch fire. Good times.
All auto manufacturers have halted production due to chip shortages at one time or another, including Jeep. You never see lots of Jeep wranglers parked like this.
Not to derail this too far, but were you active on the JL forums order tracking? Your name looks familiar.I also did the same thing. My Rubicon order was a long time !!
Yes I was on Jeep forum. I had no problem tracking my order. My RubiconNot to derail this too far, but were you active on the JL forums order tracking? Your name looks familiar.
And yes, it took a long time for sure! And that was before the pandemic. And there was no way to track your order outside of paying for someone else with connections to get the info.
I know at times people get frustrated with Ford, but this all happens way too often and across multiple car manufacturers.
