Bronco sport badlands arrives damaged

Ouch! We found one a few months ago (dealer ordered)that we really liked, and when it arrived at the dealer the front and rear bumpers were damaged. The mechanic got on the phone with Ford and they had no idea when they would be able to supply the necessary parts.

We passed and fortunately found another about two weeks later.

Our badlands had a small cuff/scrape on the rear bumper, took about 5 weeks for it to come on. If it were paint work it would have been a little harder to deal with me being as picky as I am

Like I said above, a good body guy can straighten that metal out to the point only a thin less then 1/16 skim of filler would be needed. A really good body guy could straighten out and zero filler would be needed. And a good paint guy could 100% match that paint and get factory paint or better durability. A high skilled shop could make that like it never happened.

Guy over on Hellcat forum got a new Red Eye damaged front bumper fender. Ppl said reject it. Dealer offered to fix and take money off the vehicle. He took it.

I was messing with my touchup inside my hinge and gate are just incase. Can't even tell and I wasn't even trying. This is pretty straight forward to me. But I also understand people wanting it right and perfect off the lot. To each their own.

In our case, the damage was much more than a scuff. There were visible breaks and cracks in both the front and rear bumpers. Enough that I thought the possibility of some structural damage was possible.

My first Badlands also arrived damage, so bad that the dealership refused delivery. Apparently the roof was badly damaged and partially caved in, could not be repaired and even if they offered to repair it I would have not accepted it that way as I would always be concerned for safety reasons. I do not know what is going on with these shipping companies that Ford is hiring but this is happening way too often lately, never heard of this happening before this year. In the end I wound up placing a new order for a Badlands back in March and still waiting for it to finish building.

This happened to you too?? WTF with all of these badlands arrived damaged, I have not heard of this happening to the lower trims or even the big bronco demos nor have I seen damage to any of them that people took photos of on the trucks.

Yes, fortunately it was not on one we ordered so it was much easier to walk away. The dealer said they missed the damage in their pre delivery inspection so they were on the hook for the damages. The salesman called me a couple weeks later to let me know someone bought it “as is”.

Good for them, i bet they didnt realize that it probably took months to get the parts. Minor scratches or something I can see taking as it but damage this bad? Nope. I’m praying when mine finally arrives it won’t be damaged

If you special order and it arrives damaged Ford's policy get in the back of the line and reset the entire wait process. No priority that the new order is to replace a damaged order nope.

That’s not a policy and this one was not a special order it was dealer ordered.

Not a policy? I am seeing post on Facebook ppl special ordered, vehicles were damaged in shipping, they were sent to the back of the line start all over again with no priority. That is what ppl are saying.

Just because they were sent to the back of the line doesn’t mean that its a Ford policy. My dealer gave me x-plan pricing on my new order because mine arrived damaged I didn’t see that others got that unless they didn’t mention it? I guess it depends on who you are dealing with. Others said they pointed out the damage and the salesperson denied it was even there!

Yes it will probably vary from dealer to dealer how it is handled.

I think the damage was at the factory. I received more pictures today and there is more damage under the plastic piece by the bumper

I know it might be months until you can get another but I'd refuse delivery unless Ford really sweetened the pot, like at least 10k off MSRP and paying for the best body shop in town to do the repairs.
