So yesterday, on a Sunday during a holiday weekend of course, I drove to the store about a mile from the house. Come back out, no dash, infotainment screen , nothin. Push to start just flashes. Got a jump start and it does again when out into gear. Just dead. Power windows and such still worked fine. Towed to the dealer and now have to wait on Tuesday to find out the problem. 900 miles and this issue already? Geez

It shouldn't happen...but it does. It's not Ford, it's not the Bronco...so much electrical, crap goes wrong. I've had similar issues in other vehicles. Sorry you were left for "dead" that's not a pleasant feeling. One of my vehicles did something similar while I was driving. It was a bad alternator. Lost all power and somehow coasted into a parking lot. It was a brick.

More electronics...more problems.
Hope they gave you something fun to drive meanwhile.

But is was, an is, the Bronco.
Ford is responsible for the reliability of their products. Where they source their components and their rigor with quality control. I do know that things occur with all makes, some more than others. Considering the low number of Sports on the road, and this forum only seeing a fraction of those users, some of these issues are concerning.

My last three vehicles (Ford, Mazda, Cheverolet) never went back to the dealership for repair.

It's issues like this that cause me heartburn. Heading out to Northern NM soon and will be in some places that I wouldn't want to walk out off and wouldn't want to pay a tow bill. Reliability is paramount in a vehicle designed to take off road.

Hope your problem is minor and a quick fix. Let us know.

I remember working in Amarillo and driving to Los Alamos late one summer evening several years back. At Clines Corner, I took that desolate desert road to Santa Fe and didn't see another car for hours. I wouldn't want to break down there, lots of snakes basking on the warm roadbed near dusk.
Probably the most isolated place I've traveled.

Your last 3 vehicles never had a repair?...You must not keep them long. Every Model of car can have something go wrong? Should have kept them then. Can you tell me of any product in existence that is absolutely perfect? SMH

The Ford Sync system has had problems since day one and still does. An issue that ford needs to resolve, and definitely should have put the latest version on a new model. All vehicles are more reliable than ever. Ford has had enough problems with the Bronco rollouts without having vehicles completely fail and leave people stranded. Doesn't inspire folks thinking about a purchase.

My advice...don't buy a Ford. Don't buy a Bronco. Buy something else which is guaranteed 100% reliable. Dude. It's a car. It has millions of mechanical factors happening every time you start the vehicle. Repairs and failures suck. But be real...it happens and even to YOUR point, suppliers etc. Human made, human fail. Hopefully Ford can make it right. Sometimes you just buy a lemon.

There is repair and there's having a totally dead vehicle with 900 miles on it. There is a world of gray between perfect and dead.

I agree with other posters, it doesn't play well for off road oriented vehicle like BS. Hopefully it's a one off.

Etsbam, I feel for you man. Yesterday I had my headlights just not go out for some reason took me three times of unlocking, allowing the instrument panel to come on, then shut door and lock to get them to go off properly. And I’m having the same odd noise rattling problems others are on various threads. @Excape, you’re right, a lot of this is concerning. I’m taking mine back to address the awful sound thats getting worse of the engine while driving in general. I’m not particularly happy at this point.

I agree there is a difference but if say it happens to be a bad alternator...it happens. FCA/STELANTIS ETC had an entire line of alternators go bad. Recalled some 10K vehicles...this so far is one sucky incident. Tell me anything you want...you buy a year one vehicle it is bound to have lingering things pop up. This is not a rebadged escape. And they log thousands of miles at Michigan speedway putting them through the paces (one site, they may use others I've just been there when they do. One car after another laps ad nauseum. It's still not the same as your daily drive). Recalls happen across the industry with long lineage cars. Should this happen? No...does it? Yep. Some of y'all may wanna consider Amish horse and buggy.

haha nice. I agree, and I’m trying to keep that attitude, but it really sucks when it happens to you.

Saw one of those on the side of the road swapping out the wheel a while back. Is 2021 model any better I wonder?

How about that guy on Facebook drove new Badlands off the lot 15 minutes later it went dead and dealer was not able to fix it. So Ford bought it back. Then dealer sells him an outer banks as a replacement.

Then we have lots of ppl say their BS best vehicle they ever had. Seems to me there is higher then normal risk of issues with these.
