FYI, I bought my used 2025 Badlands on 10/19/2025. A CPO with 5804 miles. 6862 miles now. Gold certified with extended Premium Care warranty.

In service date is 5/9/2025 so basically, it's a 9 month old vehicle. Today I removed my passenger rear tire. It's had a slow leak since I bought it. Figured I would keep the techs hands off the vehicle so I would take in just the tire for repair.

Got the tire off and noticed the shock is pissing fluid and extremely wet. I can't say how long it's been leaking. It's the last thing I figured I would have a problem with at 6800 miles.

So, I have an appointment Monday for the repair. Hopefully under warranty-it better be.

As a CPO vehicle there is a 172 point inspection that is done. On my sheet Item 161 is struts and shocks, checked as passed. I've never had any faith in these inspections and who actually completes them.

I can only speculate but I think it's highly unlikely it started leaking in the 3 months I've owned it. No off roading done since I bought it. I could be wrong though.

Drivers side clean & no leaks.

Ford quality is Job one, at least that's what the advertising used to say once upon a time.
I supposedly have a rear shock leak on my Badlands, I haven't confirmed for myself, maybe this weekend, I'm 2k miles shy of 50,000 miles so it's probably time.

He's not yelling that's just the font he chose.
Yea, sometimes I use the bold font to make it easier to see when I type. Maybe easier for others to read also.

Same thing with the multiple paragraphs.

So much for the grammar lessons from this old goat. Not changing my ways at this point.😊

Man, I’ll tell you one thing I learned years back.

Writing out long posts, and separating thoughts into their own paragraphs makes it a million times easier to decipher when you’re reading.

Having to read someone’s 19 line paragraph gets complicated sometimes. Even more so when people can’t comprehend punctuation.

I’ve been writing this way since ~2006.

I’ll admit, when I see someone’s post and it’s a single paragraph, I’ll read about three lines into it, and then skip the rest.

Probably should last longer than 9 months & 6800 miles I would think.
I agree, but I've seen shocks, brake pads, rotors, and many other parts declared wear items and refused warranty replacement even though they failed much sooner than they should have.
