The infotainment screen on my 2021 Ford bronco sport has not been working for several months. The back up camera still works. I have tried both a soft reset and hard reset. I have also downloaded the sync three update from the Ford website and inserted the USB for over an hour and a half and nothing seems to fix the problem. Took it to the dealer and claims it needs a new module which will cost $2000. Absolutely insane. Not sure what if any diagnostics they actually ran on the vehicle.

Sorry to hear, that sucks. I just got a used 2021 Bronco sport Badlands with like 23000 miles. I hope that doesn't happen anytime soon.
I believe you can upgrade to Sync 4 interface for 2k.

Must be a third-party thing, Ford specifically states SYNC 3 cannot be upgraded to SYNC 4. It's both hardware & software involved.

If you can get them to specify which module needs replacing, you may be able to get one through Copart or another dismantler. Obviously, it'll be used, and you'd have to find an independent shop to do the work. No dealer service dept. would touch it.
