Ford had a great 2nd quarter. Bronco and Bronco Sport had 78,543, up 44.7%. Although somewhat of a gimmick, Ford Employee Pricing, was a brilliant marketing move, which IMHO, help drive sales. The program is ending July 7, so we'll see what 3rd quarter looks like.

Just curious, what is the employee discount on say a $40,000 Ford?
How would you know if you were actually getting the same deal as them?
I can’t imagine a car salesman actually telling me the whole truth about much of anything. Anyone here buy recently with the employee pricing?

I just ordered a new Ford under the Employee Pricing Program. The Employee Pricing is based on the A/Z plan price which is on the dealer invoice. Since mine is on order the window sticker and Invoice is not available until just before Ford starts building the Escape so the salesman showed me an invoice for an Escape on the lot. The MSRP was $40,700 and the A/Z Plan price was $37,900 so the discount was $2,800 with no haggling. About 7% off MSRP. The program ends 7/7 so it will be interesting to see what programs are available after the end date or will Ford extend the current program.

That seems like a good deal. Do you have any idea how long you’ll have to wait for your Escape?

On the 2025 XLT AWD 2.0 EB Maverick i got in April the MSRP was $31,510.00 and they took $1,482.00 off for Employee Pricing so it was $30,028.00.

I needed to order my Escape as there was nothing within 100 miles the way I wanted mine configured. Another potential benefit of ordering (not Guarantied) is that when I take delivery if there are other programs offered like low interest rates from Ford Credit I may be able to take advantage of them. I think current new car auto loan rates are just under 6%.

I used to be able to the z plan thru my dad (former Ford employee) and then my mom until she died at age 94. I always took it as getting a new vehicle, taxs and fees free. Meaning what the sticker price was, was about the price I paid at the end.

Off-topic a bit, but you mentioned a new Escape. When we purchased our new 2023 Escape in early 2024, the dealership said that 2025 would be the last year for the Escape, and that the Bronco Sport will be picking up that segment. But I'm hearing things that indicate this is not true. Can you confirm whether or not there will be a 2026 Escape?

Yes, long McArthur has a couple of videos about ordering 2026. Looks like 26 will be last year. I think Ford s making a mistake ending the Escspe and relying on the Bronco Sport. Not really the same thing.

Thanks for the update. I agree that Ford may be making a mistake by eliminating the Escape. It sells well and really isn't the same thing. Though it's built on the same platform, its target market is different.

Per the article on 2nd qtr sales that started the thread Bronco Sports units sold were 39,075 and Escape units sold for the same period were 45,2342. I believe that Escape has usually out sold Bronco Sport and I would bet that Ford will lose a lot of those customers who were buying Escapes and do not want a Bronco Sport or a compact SUV EV which I think Ford is replacing the Escape with. I think the Louisville plant that builds the Escape is going to be retooled for an all new EV after the 2026 Escape model year is done.

IMO the BS and Escape prices are outrages. The 2023 BS BB with the 1.5 EB I had the MSRP was $33,135.00. The 2025 AWD XLT Maverick I have now with the 2.0 EB was $31,510.00

I'm in Canada, "A" plan here is cost +1%. Which ended up being a 10% savings on the big bend. The more you spec out the vehicle with factory options the greater the discount.
