I wanted to share pics of modular sleeping platform w drawers. I customize for various SUV styles but the BS version is my favorite. Pics are from recent trip to Yosemite.

Very easy to put in and take out by one person. No screws just drop pins. No pics for forester but I have done that build too.Nice!
Is it easily removed/installed by one person?
Btw do you have pics for a Forester with similar setup? Asking for a friend that is looking.
Drawer section is 30L X 41W. Added sleeping platform is 33L X 24W (two sections side by side with a couple of angled edges to provide for good fit). Can you share the dimensions of the platform I have a Luno setup in the back and a roofnest tent up top but I like the idea of having drawers for the Luno setup.
Hi. It takes about 30 seconds to take drawer system out and access spare!! Super easy for one person. My question would be how easy would it be to access your spare tire? I car camp in mine and I cut a piece of plywood for a single bed that just lays on top on one side so it's easy to pull it out if I need the spare tire. I spend a lot of time in the backcountry and it appears if I did this that it would be very hard to access the tire. I have looked into hitch carriers for my spare but I have a bike rack on the hitch also. And there's no way I could get a spare tire off my roof rack and back up. Stupidly I did not know the spare was in the back when I had already bought it. I thought it was underneath. Bad mistake not looking and assuming. I have had my old Exterra for 20 years and was spoiled by how awesome it is. I wish they had put the spare on like a jeep.
Do you also have drawers on the sides where the rear drivers side and passenger side doors are?I wanted to share pics of modular sleeping platform w drawers. I customize for various SUV styles but the BS version is my favorite. Pics are from recent trip to Yosemite.

No but I can put stuff in that space. Maps, poles, water bottles, blankets…etc. works great.Do you also have drawers on the sides where the rear drivers side and passenger side doors are?
See pic. Angled cuts on wood joists under platform.@Roadeo Girl what supports the platform for the forward span that is just behind the front seats? Do you have a pic taken of the sleeping platform from the rear doors open to show the forward part of the platform ?
Glad you like it. It has worked out great for me.I really love this build! I would like to try to create something similar. Thanks for sharing!
