Lucky you - my dealership stated this is normal operation. Its a shame I really like my Bronco Sport but I don't think I'd ever buy another Ford.

I’m taking my car to the dealership for a new battery and a fix on the moaning rear brakes when i’m reverse. However, one more problem I have is grinding front brakes (i’m assuming) when coming to a stop or coasting under 5mph. to describe it would be like the rotor rubbing up against something. it’s not constant but it’s definitely a rotational noise. like a Err Err Err Err Err when stopping. Is there a TSB out for something like that?
Another update, parts have been on backorder for over 2 months. Ford dealership is unbearable to deal with. Told me would be read towards the end of February, I call in April “Yeah we have no idea when it will be in” without a single thought to check on it or provide any details of when it could be ready lol. Taking clients around neighborhoods at walking speed to just hear moaning squawking breaks is always great.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.
I'm having the same problem and have taken this 3 times to my dealership and they say "yeah, Ford is aware of this but no service bulletin issued" PLEASE HELP

I've noticed this as well. Sounds like metal on metal coming from area around front brakes. Long drives seems to trigger the problem. Problem goes away if vehicle is allowed to cool down (no issue at start of day when first driven). Here is a YouTube video (hear the eha, eha, eha scratching sound on top of the normal engine hum as the car halts) Ford Bronco Sport 2023 Front Brake noise when stopping Only 20k miles. Dealership says brake pads are at 70-80% and no safety issue but I don't think they heard the sound as it comes and goes. Sound familiar to anyone? Any solutions?

Update 11/20/25 May not be a brake issue at all. Second opinion from Brake & Wheel Service, San Francisco checked brakes and found no issues (checked rotors, calipers, pads) and their opinion is noise is coming from transmission or front differential. Sent email to service director at Serramonte Ford, Colma, CA and waiting for response.

Update 11/21/25 Met with service advisor at Serramonte Ford but test drive cancelled as vehicle noise not apparent today (YouTube video insufficient as service advisor needs to hear live).

Update 12/13/25 After 3000 miles noise disappeared which leaves me to believe that noise was caused by some unknown debris caught in break system that simply was ground away by brake action or simply fell out (noise appeared to be in sync with tire rotation). For others with similar issue recommend disassembly of front brake calipers to inspect for debris (maybe stones?)
