No problems with 2021 with auto-hold, have they checked the emergency brake? Some have had that problem, I believe there is a TSB about it.
I recently had this happen, but I figured out I had set my purse between the seats and it must have been too heavy on the auto hold button, as it gave me the fault message. I moved my purse, but the alert would randomly come on in my short drive home, but once I turned the car off, it was fine the next time I drive it. It happened once before when I very first got my bronco, my dog was in the front seat, and he laid across the button and the same thing had happened.. I hope your fix is as simple as mine was. Yeah don’t put anything near that microwave knob/button area. Back in 2021 one of the forum members had a scrunchy get eaten by the shift knob, not sure how they got it out…
