There are very mixed opinions on this, but in general, I don't like running a DC to AC inverter unnecessarily. Yes, I realize this is way less expensive than a device that defeats it up front, and yes, I realize LED night lights do not draw much power, but I don't love the idea of unnecessarily loading an inverter contiuously, even if the load is small. The instruction manual also quantifies potential risk in doing so, although the excuse of personal injury is either vague or dubious:Plug in a $2 LED night light into the AC outlet in the back. Done and done. You're welcome![]()
WARNING: Do not keep electrical devices plugged into the power outlet whenever the device is not in use. The outlet provides power when the vehicle is on. Failure to follow this instruction could result in personal injury.
