No problems with the wife's BB but it only has 1224 miles on it since it was bought in May. I hope all these problems everybody is listing doesn't happen to her Bronco Sport.
7000 miles on my Big Bend not one issue. I think they got the problems taken care of in 2023.

No evidence? Ford says the injectors may crack. Ford is working with the NHTSA on the fire angle and not injectors that may crack.
Ford said a fuel injector crack may lead to an engine fire, it did not say that its OEM fuel injectors are faulty. There are recalls out there for other vehicles requiring replacement of faulty components (they're easy to find with Google). Those recalls specifically say the component is faulty and must be replaced. That is not the case with this recall. I believe Ford mentioned cracked fuel injectors because that is the component that must fail to produce a fire hazard.

The fuel drain recall is ford cheaping out, the cause is due to defective fuel injectors, point is I took it in for that recall
Agree
And the CSP is attached to that drain tube recall because the injectors can still crack… it just might not catch on fire

The CSP is to assuage the fears of those who don't understand that all mechanical devices can fail. The "fuel injector" recall has been ongoing for well over a year, and to date no one has presented any evidence that the OE injectors are faulty.

My guess, honestly, they probably just had a bad batch, not uncommon, if the chemicals used in the plastic were mixed wrong it could lead to plastic degradation when in contact with fuel, this is the conclusion I reached from research after the conversation we had last
