I found this interesting in a back and forth with the ebay vendor
So this essentially started by throwing a lowball offer on a set of RTR rims that was surprisingly actually entertained by the vendor. I immediately thought there was probably something wrong with them, but he assured me there wasn't. My thinking the whole time was that this was simply something they 'had in inventory' and wanted to get out of their warehouse.
I'd never have thought they would be working with the vendor to ship directly. Because then it really confuses me on how they were able to sell these to me so inexpensively when they retail for about a good 33% more than what I paid. ?
You can find cheap, new, or open-box brand items all the time on ebay if you have your searches and alerts set appropriately. But each time, the impetus is usually some warehouse that is wanting to get rid of inventory to clear the shelf space, and are willing to eat the price because the shelf space is that much more valuable to them.
I'm not sure what's going on here.
