I’ve scrolled through previous threads none describing what I’m hearing. I’m driving a 2022 bronco sport big bend with 2k miles bought brand new. When I get up to around 30 mph I begin hearing what sounds like a tin can being knocked around in what I’m pretty positive is the driver rear wheel area. Super intermittent. Had my wife drive while I crawled around to pin point the noise. I’ve crawled underneath and ran my hand where I could and couldn’t feel anything in the heat shield. Any advice or others experiencing this? I’m scheduled to bring it in to the dealership but the soonest appointment isn’t for another month apparently.
the video is being filmed in the furthest back driver side corner of the cargo area.

This is the best way to find noises. It takes two people, but you don't have to crawl around while driving.

thank you!! I reached my hand up through the weird carpet material in the wheel well and was able to kind of replicate the noise by flicking the assortment of what feels like wires/cables so I’m thinking one fell loose. Gonna try and take the interior panel off and take a look!

Update: drove to dealership and left keys in lock box told it could take up to a week. I’ve drove on unpaved roads once in that 2k miles so I’m honestly beginning to regret my purchase if I’m already dealing with what sounds like a bad bearing this early into ownership.

If it's a bad bearing it's not due to use; it's absolutely a manufacturing defect.

yeah I could be an idiot and there’s just a rock somewhere but it just sounds so off. We will see what the dealership says this week. Here’s another clip looking down on the rotor.

Are you sure it's not the dust shield behind the caliper assembly?
Here’s a better video. I thought it was the dust shield but there’s nothing rubbing it or touching it from what I could see. On the 3rd rotation I do in that video you can hear what sounds like a steel ball rolling or something. I’m not a mechanic so it really could be something stupid and I’m over reacting but took it in anyways. I’ll let y’all know what they find.

Alright final update. I’m officially retarded. I swear I looked as deep as I could but didn’t see anything. A squirrel lodged a pine cone behind my rotor and they disassembled the breaks to retrieve it. Embarrassed but happy it wasn’t anything serious.
