my vehicle was at the dealer for 8 days while my car sat unattended to waiting to hear from ford. As the dealer was told to wait to hear from engineering. Ford stated I would get a loaner car, they weren’t available at the dealer , so I was told to rent a vehicle from ford corporate at up to $50 a day max while they consult in the issue. So that’s what I did. The dealer waited a week to hear from ford, I received my reimbursement today, and it was a mastercard gift card for everything but the taxes. I’m out $75 bucks, my car for 8 days , which was never really even touched. Picked up in the same spot, rust no side on the brakes, Same spot, not even a tenth of a mile driven on it. I’m beginning to rethink being a ford owner.

pretty much.

ford corporate is telling me they don’t reimburse taxes, but they tell me that after I rented the car which corporate told me to do, and I waited 8 days for them to respond to the dealer to say “the clicking noise you hear while turning your car has been determined to be a normal operating characteristic “ so I wasted my time and now money with Ford. It’s not the dealerships fault, at all. This was all on ford reading the messages here and reaching out to fix my problem which is essence is more of a problem, and loss of time and money.

ford has apologized for “lack of transparency and inconvenience”

So dealers are independent entities from Ford. They are purchased franchises. Not all dealers are created equal

I would look for another dealer. Look at online dealer service reviews. If you know others with Fords ask them. Also Lincoln dealers do Ford warranty work. Most Ford dealers are useless not able to fix anything. But good ones are out there. There are some that actually care and have competent techs.

My neighbor next street over has a fleet of new Fords. So I asked him wheres the good service. And he knew. And he also knew where not to go too...
