We ordered a 2023 Badlands on 12/3.

I was thinking now that Ford has paused all deliveries of Bronco Sports with 1.5L, due to fuel injector recall, then it makes sense to me that Badlands with the 2.0L should deliver faster.

Since majority of orders are 1.5L then that is going to free up a TON of production capacity for the Badlands with the 2.0L.

What is everyone else's thoughts on this?

If anyone with a 2023 Badlands order has a build date, then please post your order date, build date, & date you received the email for the build date. That might give indications if that is starting to happen.

I thought the same thing. My Badlands is supposed to be built this week. Hopefully this will happen as well as a quick FIX for all the 3 cylinder cars.

The ‘23 BS with the 1.5L are not being stopped from being built or shipped. Ford has fixed the issue on the new ones being produced. The recall was announced before production began on the ‘23 model year. When a recall is announced, that means Ford has fixed the issue on the production line. They might not be able to fix what has already rolled off the line; thus some people will face stop sales on their ‘22’s, but the ‘23’s will be fine. Many were already built last week and have already shipped (1.5L).

That is not what Ford says. A Ford dealer advised....

"And Ford is saying right now, the fix might not come until the end of First Quarter 23"

If there is not fix until the END of Q1 2023 that means all of December and January and February there will be no 1.5L built. The fix is still being developed based off that information.

I’ve seen the article and it says “select” 2023… The Escapes started production before the Bronco Sports. That article was written before production even started on the ‘23 Bronco Sports. Follow the other topics in this forum and you will see that indeed there have been the new ‘23 model year 1.5L built, mine included.

My local dealer has a '22 that is part of the recall. Been sitting for 2 weeks with a sold sign in it. I asked about it and was told they can not legally sell a vehical with a open recall, so it must sit till it has the fix.

This still makes me wonder if the 23’s built this month have the fix already or if they will arrive and then have to sit around for an untold amount of time waiting for parts. I wish there was more transparency around the situation :(.

I was told NO, the ‘23s will not have a stop sale. They had a fix before production started on the ‘23s. The ‘23s should start arriving in a few weeks at the dealers. We’ll find out soon.

I really hope so! Mine is still just sitting at Built since Saturday. I hear others have shipped so here’s to hoping mine will soon, and it’s smooth sailing from there!

2023 Badlands ordered 8/4, built on 12/10, currently en route to the dealership with an expected delivery date of between 1/5—1/11. Considering all the delays I've been reading about over the past year that seems kind of optimistic to me, but we'll see. I ordered it pretty well loaded up: premium package, sunroof, 360+, optional wheels.

For what it's worth, Ford says my 2023 OBX "has shipped and is on its way!"

Should be at the dealer between 12/25 and 12/31. Fingers crossed.
