Now that we have a BB with the 1.5, i can understand what others are talking about with the vibration. When cold it almost feels like its misfiring and running rough. Seems to get better once warmed up.

The Badlands is hugely better than any of the other BS model levels.
I wouldn't consider the BL hugely better. I test drove both pretty extensively, other then the little extra power with the 2.0 they drive EXACTLY the same on road. The BL has ugly orange accents on the interior. Off road the BL might have an advantage, but from a lot of videos I have seen the non BL can hold it's own. Build quality is no better between the trims.

Blue oval fan.

You can consider whatever you want, eveyone has an opinion.

The fact is, the drivetrain and other components that are not available on the other models is what makes the Badlands superior.

BTW, I have a Badlands and it doesn't have "ugly orange accents on the interior"

As always, it comes down to your intended use for the vehicle. The Badlands offers better engine performance and better off-road performance. The other trims offer lower acquisition and operating costs, mainly owing to better fuel economy. Other than that, the difference between trims comes down to features. In that arena, the Outer Banks trim is demonstrably better. It comes standard with many features that are not available and/or are expensive options on the Badlands.

TFL on YouTube ran a BB through their course if you want a review off road.

To each their own, I don't see it. Turbo makes a difference in both. I test drove a 1.5. on the advice of two dealers I got the 2.0 for some of the off road features. It accelerates like a brick. It's a small SUV. I sincerely think some convince themselves the 2.0 is this huge power boost. To me, if you want other features the 2.0 isn't a sacrifice. It's not like trading a 4cyl and a V8. Anyone who feels a significant difference is either highly sensitive to throttle response or they've convinced themselves they made the right choice. I'm not buying it. Probably a one cent opinion on my part...but I'm not alone in the thinking.
It's not just the motor. Do you want or need the locking aspects of the rear differential and of the front and rear drive systems. Which from the sounds of it maybe not.

I thought the Premium Package for Badlands included this, but apparently not.

Huh, how weird to make it unavailable on the Badlands.
And windshield wiper deicer correct?

That means absolutely nothing to me. I only know from my own experience of driving both vehicles and having a 2 litre Ford Escape.

If I felt the 1.5L was adequate I would have bought it. Well to be honest the Focus RS diffy with the BL had a lot to do with it as well. Once again if you own a 1.5L BS enjoy to your hearts content. For me there just wasn't enough horses with the 1.5L.

We don't have to agree, that's the beauty of choice.
And if you
between a hemi V8 and the 2.0 there's not a world of difference, there is an entire universe

so, for me, a world between 1.5 and 2.0 is far enough, eheheheh
I saw a dealer ad that listed a bronco sport and the motor listed was a Hemi. So I called and asked which hemi was in it lol. Love mis prints.

I have no desire to go off-roading. That being said I ordered an Outer Banks with moonroof, tech, and co-pilot 360+. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been a 2.0 engine option. I'm 78 years old and way past my hot-rodding days. I would like any additional power available for passing situations on the interstate. I don't think that's too much to ask for without paying for all the off-road options I would never use. I will probably trade for a '24 if they offer that option next year.

Couple videos out there stock 3 cylinder trims off road. They pretty impressive for what they are for sure.

Personally nope. I get anywhere from 2-3 to 18" of snow. A few weeks a winter. I haven't aggressively taken it off roading but I could. 90% of owners are as aggressive or lack of it compared with my work/mall style.
