We are flying out next Tuesday to sign the paperwork and bring it home. I hope everyone else here gets theirs very very soon!

Norfolk Southern doesn’t give that information. Just arrivals, departures, and scanners. Thinking about it, however, they would have left the rail car in Shelbyville to be unloaded and most likely reloaded, it would not have continued on.

It would have continued on after whatever happened to it there. You can still track it, but the data would be meaningless concerning your vehicle which would no longer be associated with the autorack.

I have a feeling, after seeing the full visibility report, that it will be dropped off on the way back through Shelbyville. UP says point of industry 9/2, and the visibility report only has arrivals at significant points (Nogales, St. Louis/Madison), no departures. We’ll see what happens when it comes back through. It was scanned in Fisherville (right before Shelbyville) and was in Danville (not far past Shelbyville) about six hours later. It doesn’t seem like it had enough time to stop and do anything significant in Shelbyville. I also never had a Shelbyville arrival or departure message from NS, it could be because I missed it between Fisherville and Danville, but unlikely with the amount of checking I was doing.

That's when it's scheduled to be turned over to the ramp to be offloaded.

My dealership has had the odd vehicle show up without any updates on its status. Sometimes this does happen. I'm in Canada and the last known location for mine was Kansas. Next thing I knew it was at the dealership on the west coast.

I hope this happens! I leave Friday morning for vacation and was wanting to take it but scared they will sell it to someone else if I don't get it before I leave.....I've been told since the beginning they don't like vehicles not picked up within a day or 2 of being delivered.

Are you still waiting to move to "Shipped"? Starting to get a bit discouraged again..

I hope this happens! I leave Friday morning for vacation and was wanting to take it but scared they will sell it to someone else if I don't get it before I leave.....I've been told since the beginning they don't like vehicles not picked up within a day or 2 of being delivered.

I'm sure they don't like it, but when you've been waiting 8 months a week isn't going to kill them. I'm certain they can't sell a special order without a signed release/cancellation from you. So I wouldn't worry about going on your vacation. Just set up pick-up for when you return.

Mine is currently in Conway, PA, and it’s been there since 5am. The UP report gives me a “Placed At Industry” estimate of September 2nd.

@Jenbeth how long has yours been off the train? If that 9/2 date is accurate, I’m trying to get a feel for how long the trucking process takes.

It's important to talk to them about your plans. As long as you communicate with them it shouldn't be an issue.

I am still waiting ?. I just don’t get it how right before is shipping turnover went quickly once built.
