A dealer about 100 miles from has a big bend but instead of tow pckage(don’t necessarily need) has 360+ and selling for 500 more than I got. And it’s on the lot. Really thinking of doing it based on the uncertainty.
Just make sure that includes their “market adjustment”

From what I could find on the web and there isn't much. I believe it's the gateway module.

The GWM acts as a central gateway to translate messages across all 4 vehicle controller area networks (CAN), and vice versa. The GWM is the only module on this vehicle with this ability. The GWM also serves as a termination module for each of the networks to which it is connected.
I think I’ve solved 716. My BLs arrived on June 6. My wife’s is help up in
Mexico. They are identical except for color and my wife’s has rubber mats. Neither should affect chips. Every 716 has the first column only populated fir both cars. If anyone thinks there may be another module, let me know.

I went and looked at an outer banks and saw the listing price and I asked if they was what they were selling it for and the answer I got was “absolutely not” tack on and extra 7k. I said I’m good l, thanks anyway lol

The only thing that concerns me is the "rot" part of lot rot. I'm not thrilled my brand new car might be standing still out in the elements for the next 5 months (or heaven forbid more) without being moved, without being maintained at all. It's not like it's at a dealership where there will constantly be eyes on it keeping it running and relatively clean. But maybe I'm overthinking it.

but you have a moonroof, which has a chip just for that
Well, I got all the factory options.., so could be any chip..????

BS has a corner of the market…. If you really want one like this,it’d be hard to find a replacement.

[/QUOTE]
since Toyota doesn't do orders, would be interested in seeing what your dealer could get
U r right, Toyota doesn’t do custom order, I will reserve one w desired option and see what actually get.

anyway, Ilike the BS but I should and want a Plan B. So far the BS is living up to its name by Ford

I would. no offense but im surprised any one would order a big bend or Outer Banks because I was having no trouble finding them months ago. They weren’t on the lot but dealers were willing to take a deposit to “claim” the incoming unit. Maybe things changed. Badlands have been impossible to find, at least within a 100 miles of me. That’s why I ordered…Plus Granger has one heck of a deal!
I couldn’t, and still can’t, find an OBX with the features and colors I want anywhere near me. I looked before I ordered and periodically since. Yesterday I thought I would find one, there five OBX in Area 51, but they all had the Navy interior, no moonroof, no tech package, no 360+.

I agree. I have been watching too but the biggest problem is the price too. Even at msrp I am paying $3000 less for ordering what I want. I have moonroof, tech and 360+ too and don’t want to give them up….so I wait…
it does bother me a bit too that these vehicles are sitting out in the elements but I assume this happens all the time and we don’t even know it. Maybe we should have just been left in the dark. Hopefully they start working on ours soon.

Not overthinking. I agree with this statement 100%!

Hey there, new member, first post. I have an outer banks on order, with the tech package and moonroof. Same boat as everyone else…build date 7/4, now in “produced” status, etc.

The fun plot twist is that I work for the Ford dealership I ordered from. I even called our zone rep the other day and was told he would send a status request…then I checked yesterday morning and magically the dreaded chip hold message appeared.

I’m in the same area of country as you and saw same ones at 4-5 K above what I’m locked in at from my February order with my moonroof and tech. Very frustrating

Mine baked in Mexican summer sun for 5 months. I was surprised how good it looked when it arrived. It did have water stains baked into paint esp on the black roof I did not notice until I got home. But I was able to wax them out now paint looks excellent.

So, he probably did his job and got them to admit it.

That's kind of how it feels - someone must have gotten someone to take notice and look into what was going on.
