Like your rear lights with the chipped corner. Almost all the panels on my BS that have a 90ish degree bend all have the corners of the paint chipped off. Both rear lamps, rear quarters, front roof panel above the windshield etc. all have the corners chipped. Ford isn’t really any help. Have to bring it in tomorrow since my roof panel is separating from the vehicle

This sounds like a worrying situation. A new vehicle should not have multiple paint defects.

Ford should do something about this situation regardless of how or when it’s happening.

My Bronco Sport will be exposed to road salt several months of the year. Who knows how it will hold up over the years.

Sure, you can use one of Ford’s touch up pens, but we should not have to do that straight off the lot in numerous places.

Paint issues can be a real headache to deal with. Sometimes the only solution is to fully repaint the problem areas.

I will take an extremely close look at my BS before accepting it. If it has paint issues I will probably reject it and move on. I’m not dealing with Ford’s nonsense.

Hmmm, I have had zero paint problems on my 22' BS in bronze smoke.....I'm wondering if some of the chips are caused by shoppers who look at your BS before purchasing?? Sloppy lot techs?? Most of the chips I've seen in this thread can be easily touched up....

Hello, bought a Bronco Sport last week. Saw these two chips. I fixed the one by the tail light with touch up paint from the dealer. I was wondering on the other one. Should I leave it alone? IDK if the dealer will do anything. Will it be under warranty ?

The quality of vehicles is at an all time low, worst in 36 years, we ordered our bronco sport in November, 8 months ago, Ford finally called me last week to tell me it was damaged in transit, keep in mind it shipped late March, I did research on my own and already new of the damage, but it took Ford 4 months to tell us, they are supposed to be shipping a new one due in early August, when it’s in I’m going to tell them to shove it up their Arse! Quality is just junk right now, and so is their organizational skills

I picked mine up a day after it was delivered so idk. I don’t mind a touch up but inside the door panel and looking like someone keyed it

I heard it’s like that at most places. My fiancé had issues with Honda recently. Idk if it’ll ever get better. I hope you enjoy it and have no issues.

Did they fix them for you?
Yes. I noticed the glass chips on the edge of the back window during delivery So the back window was replaced a few days later. I took delivery at night in February 2021 and noticed the paint scratches the next day when out in the sunlight. Wet sanding was tried first but when that didn’t work the area was repainted.

Oh nice. Glad it was fixed. I have a service appointment with them on the 27th so we will see what they say. I pointed out the issues when I picked up the vehicle and have pictures. Hopefully they repaint it.

They will definitely fix it for you. Dealerships deal with transit damage far too often unfortunately. However, they should have noticed during the PDI process and fixed it prior to you taking delivery. Same in my case. I would rather not have known.

I agree. It takes the enjoyment of getting the vehicle. And the sales had the balls to just give me touch up paint. I had to call Ford and make a case.

That’s unacceptable. And, yes, I wasn’t happy. My BL also had 75 unexplained kilometres on the odometer ☹

75 seems a lot. Like I don’t understand them sometimes. Don’t they want us to buy another etc?
we will see how this goes. Hopefully they make it right. First they told me if they repainted it would look weird but I argued saying it’s a new car so the paint shouldn’t be off.
