I have a new BB with only one option (trailer tow pkg.), which means it has basic vacuum boost. It feels like the brakes are way over-boosted. Especially at low speeds, the brakes are either off or ON ! The SLIGHTEST TOUCH on the pedal causes the brakes to grab on completely. In a fast-food ordering line or stop-and-go traffic, it is move ahead a car length or two followed by a sudden jerk to a stop, etc., etc. NOT FUN !
Do other owners have brakes that operate like this ? Are vehicles with the electric booster like this ?
Above about 30mph it is a little better, but still too sensitive trying to modulate the pedal.
Is this something that can be adjusted ?

Give it time. The brakes have to break in like many other components on the vehicle. For most people, several hundred miles of driving while avoiding hard use of the brakes is sufficient. If you’re too impatient you can accelerate the process.

Hi Mark,
I just passed the 1,000 mile point. It was mostly around-town, with four 20-mile interstate trips.
Between 1972 and 2008, I got eleven new cars, including Pinto, CJ-7, S-10 pickup, XJ Cherokee, Mustang GT, and Honda Pilot, among others. My new BS BB is the only one to have these disappointing, sensitive brakes.
Other than the brakes and poor driver's seat adjustment, I like the BS a lot. These two items just reduce the driving pleasure somewhat.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I haven’t noticed mine being overly sensitive. I’ve got about 2k miles. I’d say take it in to your dealer and have them check it. Mine seem like ever other vehicle I’ve own.

I think mine are like yours. My OB built 12/23/21 was just after the brake recall cut off. From my understanding the brake recall was for brake pads with insufficient adhesiveness. My BS feels like the brakes are too "grippy". They are very smooth but it takes minimum pedal pressure to slow & stop. My front wheels also get LOTS of brake dust on them. I'm waiting to see if how long these last. Actually feels like this supplier went to far to correct the first one's error. My other vehicles are an 18 Tahoe & 13 F150 5.0 Lariat. Both are much heavier I know, but if I haven't driven one in a while, it very noticeable how much greater brake pedal pressure it take to stop them.
I don't feel it is a real defect & I'm not taking mine in. Once I got used to it (3000 miles now) I kind of like the way it stops/feels.

I visited my Sales Associate on Friday to talk about the situation. The Dealership had a new Base Model on hand and we took it out for a short ride. It was similar to mine, but not quite as grabby. I agreed that I should give the vehicle more time for the brakes to break-in (wear-in). I don't believe it is a safety issue, but more of a wear-in and get accustomed to it situation. After all, I had my previous vehicle over 9 years.
Also, I played around with the seat and steering wheel adjustments some more, and improved the situation by moving the seat back a couple of notches. However, the lack of height adjustment with the front of the seat cushion gnaws at me. Ford must have one 5' 10" guy on staff to evaluate seat designs ! ! DUMB
Thanks, again, to Forum members.
