I want to keep the Bronco longer than I expect a modern car to last. Not to knock down the Bronco or Ford. At the risk of sounding like an old curmudgeon, they just don't build cars with the same longevity as a few decades ago, and a crazy amount of fail points are thousands of dollars. Heck, a BAD HEADLIGHT will set you back over $1500 for diagnosis, parts and replacement.

Yeah, that's how those warranty sellers scare you into buying a warranty. But it used to be you'd need to throw a rod or burn out a clutch solenoid to make a warranty pay for itself. It was shy of $3,000 for eight years of coverage and it's rolled into the financing at 0%. If this car can go eight years without getting so much as two headlights' worth of issues, then it was worth $3,000 more than the MSRP.

Only one to buy is fords ESP WARRANTY. Have purchased this for the last 25 or so years. IMO. The best
My dealer said the same thing. Said I could buy it before my factory warranty ends, say the 35th month if ownership.
Said it was bumper to bumper like the factory warranty for an additional 36 months for $2,000
That way I can keep it 72 months under warranty, protects me from things like,
A/C compressor, $1200
Steering system, $2400
Transmission, $5600
Drive system outside of transmission, $ 1,000 to 4,000
Engine, $7600
Etc…
Not worried about the little stuff.
$2,000 over 3 years sounds like pretty cheap Insurance to me…

I paid 2125 for Ford premium care 8 years 125,000 miles, 50.00 deductible for my Ranger. I usually keep my cars long. Looking at their website the wifes BS will cost a little more.
I also purchased a FORD premium warranty... in my case 84/mos or 100K miles with a $100 deductible. Is this the same as what others describe as Ford ESP ? I knew enough to stay away from 3rd party warranty packages the dealer tries to peddle.

Absolutely the best car warranty without question . Have been buying that warranty for about 25 years on all my Lincoln and ford products , Definitely the one to buy .

I'm confused. The OP talked about warranty and it seems almost everybody else is talking about the ESP (Extended service plan) which is a whole different thing.

I've got both.

Hi, first post here. We just ordered a Bronco sport badlands for my wife, and I have a 21 ranger. I bought the ford premium care ESP on line. There are a few dealers that sell the ford ESP on line, at a deep discount. Ziegler Ford and Flood Ford are a couple. There is a thread at Blue Oval Forums, Ford ESP at cost. I saved a lot over the price at the dealer.
I second Zeigler Ford. Ive bought from them multiple times, and, if you use promo code "PAYINFULL" you get $250 off.

Obviously, with that code, there is no 0% financing. You must pay in one shot.

Sound like they are both being used to refer to the same thing.

Ford Ranger,
I think Ford refers to the extended warranty as the ESP. The other is the maintenance plan. The price HomePeace got from granger sounds really good. If you think you maybe interested in getting one, I would check Granger, Flood, and Ziegler. Ziegler has the "PAYINFULL" code. To me the price is worth peace of mind.
