Thought I'd add my 2 cents worth about Ford Customer Service.

Just got a phone call from the dealer I bought my Bronco from and the woman advised me about the recall for the oil separator, which I already knew about.

Anyway, she said it would take about 15 minutes and they'd be happy to send a technician to my house to do it so I wouldn't be inconvenienced, so he'll be here tomorrow at 1PM.

That's what I call Customer Service.

WTF. My dealer claims no parts to repair/replace but were expecting & would call when available. Then I can leave the car for the day with no rental or loaner. That was over a week ago. When the phone don’t ring I guess I’ll know I’ve been forgotten

I’m not really sure what the Ford Rep can be expected to do except get you into their case system and watch for repetitive issues to send up a flag. If you don’t want to work with your dealer get another dealer.

When my main touchscreen control panel died on my Sprinter van I could call Winnebago and connect to a technician who, after realizing I have technical skills, worked with me until we were both convinced it was a bad ($1200) display and he sent a new one under warranty. The sheer volume difference between Ford and Winnebago says that you won’t be reaching a Ford technician and will end up at the dealer. Just the way it is.

I'm a 911 dispatcher ... trust me, this is a far more common occurrence than it used to be. We're all getting depleted badly.
when I was hired into my current job, there were 300 applicants per position. Ann Arbor Fire Dept had 1000 applicants for four jobs. One was already set aside for the Chief's nephew...and two others were guaranteed to women... Sounding like the proverbial (literal old man) we were happy to have any job, and we weren't paid enough and we liked it. We were thankful to have a job. Today, 'kids' can 'earn' millions on youtube talking nonsense. This world is not improving. It's foolishly declining into less deserves more. That's not how this nation was built. The struggle is important. It teaches appreciation for your climb.
The lack of advancement, that's part of the same cycle...those at the top feel entitled to their golden parachute, and rather than reinvesting in their company and services (reads employees) they only want to ensure their stock options and buyout are maximized. It's all about the concentration of wealth. We've lost site of what's important.

Very common for Ford dealers to have terrible service unable or unwilling to fix anything. They want you to go away and not come back. But other Ford dealers with skilled technicians who can fix vehicle. It varies widely have to research find a good dealer.

Pick a bad dealer not a lot the Ford rep here can do. Find a good dealer prob wont need Ford reps help.

However, this thread is looking for information about the representative here in the forum.
Seriously? This thread needs to be re-titled ā€œgrab your popcornā€ because it has had so many tangents that you need to grab your popcorn and just enjoy the read.

they did...many found it easier to live without a job with incentives to do so. I'll leave it at that.
I could not have said that better??
