'Normal' Goat mode pulling max weight of 2000 pounds, 60 mph, tach stayed around 1700RPM. The big test was Duluth Minnesota with the long steep hill (south side) coming into and return leaving Duluth. I stayed in normal mode and the Bronco Sport handled fine. Think I lightly tapped brakes a couple times going down hill to stay under 50mph. Coming back up the hill a little lighter with about 1500 pounds trailer/load I stayed at 50mph too and transmission acted just like my F150's I thought.

How was your gas mileage? When I towed my boat, it dropped to 22 from 28 mpg. My utility trailer is similar to yours but has a camper shell on it. I got 25 mpg towing it.

I notice the sag in the back of your Sport, I'm thinking that the Flat Out Suspension springs in the back might make sense. I'll have to look and see if mine sags that much with trailer loaded. I need the lift regardless.

I barely had the 1000 miles break in required when we started the road trip but did notice the computer said 27.5 mpg for the first 1000 miles. I forgot to set odometer to zero for trip up. The return trip of 240 miles did not have ATV in trailer but had a cargo of 500 pounds and computer said 24.6 mpg towing 1500 pounds trailer/cargo for 240 miles. That pic shows it was leveled pretty straight too compared to going up.

I removed the mesh ramp to prevent any parachute effect and 100 pounds. That allowed me to put a spare tire and some misc items in the trailer.
