What I wonder is if you total out do you get MSRP or the inflated replacement selling price. You could be out thousands.

I had a low volume car get totaled for hail damage. I had to do some research and argue a bit with the insurance company but I did finally get a fair market value for it. I’m guessing that in these times, the process would be somewhat similar.

Old thread, but you will get value from insurance payout unless your carrier has a clause or a paid rider for full replacement value, in which case you'll get the cost to replace.
