Wiring question - mute wire on radio

Does anyone know what wire controls the mute function on the radio? Where can I, EASILY, tap into it? Not looking to pull the dash apart/radio out. I am hopeful there is a wire that runs from the steering wheel area to the radio and I can intercept it along the way. Or, another easily accessible spot? Thank you!
