Everyone needs a batter tester like this one:
MOTOPOWER MP0515A 12V Car Battery Charge Tester and Alternator Analyzer
Oh look. A new gadget! Might hafta open the Amazon app. ?
Just test the battery every couple of months and there will be no surprises. These work great and you can get them on Amazon for about $35. It uses an algorithm that estimates remaining battery life based on cold cranking amp.

'21 BS BB with 46,000 miles built in 04/21. Original lead acid battery. No issues whatsoever but I will be replacing it with an AGM before winter.

I replaced mine after 4 months. Just wanted a trouble free vehicle for my wife before winter came. Replaced flooded ford battery with a 4 year full replacement AGM battery from batteries plus. Have not had 1 issue since!

We got a Ford Pass app message at 10 pm last night that "battery saver" mode had started and all remote functions stopped. 2021 BS BB with 17,900 miles. We never use s/s feature. Had the PCM recall done. This is our daily driver, grocery getter, dog to the groomer, want to travel next year vehicle.

So being as life is crazy enough and reading various threads and looking at a YouTube video and turning 70 y.o. and just want to feel safe, my husband and I made the decision to chuck the 3 y.o. OEM lead acid battery, bought and installed an AGM battery ourselves.

Thank you @Dude for steps to do the hard reset.

Everything went smoothly, all seems working well and in good order.

Once again, we are grateful for this forum, your advice and expertise.

We've gone through all the recalls, cracked windshield, repaired paint chips, new tires, new battery, frequently check fluid levels, perform all scheduled maintenance....no more surprises Ford or I will trade this in on a no frills 4runner...
