What is scam warning for new users on here?

Anyone else being requested to report users that are new claiming to have parts you want?

That means that if a new user starts trying to offer things for sale, it's usually a scam. They're trying to steal your money or info, they don't actually have whatever it is for sale.

A user who has posted for a while and built a reputation on the forums is generally more trustworthy than someone who created an account just to "sell" something. That said, everything is at your own risk, so watch out for common signs of a scam.

You do know that's a thing that very much does happen, right? There have even been cases of meet-ups at a mall parking lot where dogs were stolen.

The parking lot of a busy mall, in a nicer part of town, and they were held at gunpoint, so yeah, if you're serious, you might want to be careful who you meet and where...

Many police stations have a special area setup with cameras specifically for this purpose.
