Finally was able to get the BS into the dealer. The tech and the Forman heard the noise while lightly accelerating through 15 mph. They than drove a brand new Badlands from the dealer lot and that BS made the same noise in the same driving condition almost immediately. So the noise is "normal" in the sense that it is not just mine. I have a 24 Big Bend as loaner while they have my BS and does not make the noise. For now they are holding onto the BS while they contact Ford to see if there have been any other similar complaints raised to Ford. Other than being an annoyance for now I was assured that it is not hurting anything. If the noise was just a low growl it might be ok but sometimes it gets very loud and when you hear it you would think WTF was that.
Any updates? I have the same noise in addition to some clicking between shifts in lower gears. I have a ‘22.

I saw the Ford notes. They really didn't say much other than the Dealer did the right thing by checking another badlands and like I previously said the other Badlands did the same thing. It is a noise that only is on the 2.0L/trans combo. Unless the noise gets worse there is nothing that Ford or Dealer will do. Right now I have stopped trying to make the noise happen by stopping and starting repeatedly so the noise has been minimal with just driving and not trying to make it happen. I think that the fact that the temperatures have been warmer also makes the noise less noticeable but that is only my theory right now. I have to wait until the temps get colder again to see how it is. The one thing I wish the dealer would have done is at least try to isolate the noise to get an idea of where it was coming from but once the other badlands made the same noise it was treated as normal for now. The only thing I think could make a difference to Ford for a noise that seems to happen like this meaning it happens on other badlands is if Ford starts to see more people bringing their BS back to the dealer for the noise. If that happens than Ford might be more inclined to investigate why it is happening and maybe come up with a fix. Especially if it something rattling that could be easily fixed.
