Hello all…….

My wife and I picked up a Big Bend on December 16. We found the exact one we had been looking for just a couple hours from where we live. 2 hour drive vs 3 month wait. Pretty easy choice. Nothing but great things to say about Genevieve and Applewood Ford in Port Hardy. As it’s only been a month we haven’t done anything to it yet other than the Redline hood struts which are great. Lift and tires are going on within a couple months. Truly the thing is what we want that for now the only things we‘re going to do to it are cosmetic to make it our own. My wife wants red lettering front and rear which will be done soon and I have ordered a couple retro style Bronco emblems in matte black for the front fenders. Looking forward to sharing and learning on this site.

I’m at 15,500 miles with my 2021 Shadow black base model purchased in December 2020 and still love the thing.
First thing using my purchase rewards points up was the Ford rubber floor mat set, the rear cargo deck cover and the less expensive Ford mud flaps.
My Fords stay all Ford. I don’t do aftermarket. But I will admit you got me wanting those Redline hood struts real bad.
@12,000 miles my factory Continentals were too worn down(4/32 and 5/32) I had hydroplaning problems. On went a full set of Yokohama Geolandars G015’s I went up just a tad from 225 to 235 65R17.
For my driving conditions it needs nothing more.
Retro emblems, Red lettering, way cool ! All us Forum junkies are gonna want pictures :,P

i agree with you 100%. For the style of driving we’re going to do, it fits us great. Yes, the rubber floor mats and mud flaps are an obvious thing to do so I didn’t count them as mods / upgrades but have been added. These little units are great and I like looking at the way people “build” them to suit their needs and personalities.

Congrats! Love the colour. We're hoping to drive our BS over to Vancouver Island later this year. Where are you buying the Redline hood struts and other accessories in Canada?

I like to shop local as much as possible but was unable to find a supplier where I live for the struts so I got them directly from Redline. Less than a week at my door. 1/2 an hour to install. Lift and tires are being done by the dealership the vehicle came from. I’ve had very good service over the years by both nearby Ford dealers. Anything I can’t get local I shop around for the best prices. I will definitely pay a little more for anything if I can get it local though. Community support goes a long ways

Yes I put on the hood struts also. They are awesome. I had to adjust the screws where the hood sits on and it helps with the wobble in the car wash also
