Have you considered ordering exactly what you want? It takes a few months, but things are moving much faster now. Took me 4 months from order to delivery of my Velocity Blue BL My22. My MY23 was ordered in May. It should be built this week. Delivery should be 3-4 weeks out.

Here's a shot of a tire on my 22 OBX with less than 2K miles, for comparison.

It's the best shot I have of the tire, but you can see the blocking goes all the way around.

Keep looking if you decide not to get this one. We looked locally and ended up buying online from a Ford dealer 700 miles away for our 2022 OBX which only had 800 miles on it. We flew in and drove it home. There are deals to be found to get what you want.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I GREATLY appreciate the visual. Lots of rain here today. Inches and inches, so I didn't get to the dealer. Will be keeping my eyes open for sure. I don't care that this one is 'Loaded' per se. I just want heated seats and a little fun. Again. Thank you.

Thank you for the picture. Maybe it is dirt on the one for sale. Will be interesting when I can go look at it. Place was closed today. Lots and lots of rain here.

Maybe you should stop climbing lava hills with it.
Do you mean after it rained and they said the road was closed due to flooding, I should not have done this?

Looks like a crappy application of tire shine to me.
Hoping these images paste correctly, but I think the tire shine/dirt comments are spot on. Every lug group has a tread that runs down to the sidewall, while the others stop short. Looks like the tire shine is catching that runner, and contrasting the dirt in the pockets. There might be some curb scuffing on the MICHELIN lettering, but doesn't look like anything to be concerned about from this view. Hopefully you managed to get there and take a look at it and I'm just telling you something you already know by now!

Thank you for the additional picture and explanation. I've been looking at this vehicle for a while and the tire thing has held be back. However, my dithering has paid off because they've dropped the price since. Have been on a bit of vacation, but will look at the car tomorrow. Thanks so much.

If you are searching for a badlands then I would hold out. The engine and performance differences make it worth the wait. I held out for 3 months and had to drive 90 miles to get an almost fully loaded low milage BSBL for anywhere from 4-6k below curent local market prices. Patience is key and pulling the trigger when you find the right BS for the right price.

Well I looked at the car today, and as Bigger Hammer 944 and Keaton surmised, the tires are totally normal. I test drove this Outer Banks model for about 45 minutes and then pulled the trigger. (That's trigger, not Tigger) Talked them down a bit just for show. Has all kinds of silly options, stereo, Sunroof, Nav, towing, distance pacing cruise.

Interestingly it has 14,500 miles on it and the previous owner works at the dealer selling the extended warrantees. We talked about cars for a long time, especially this one. He liked it, but it was just a commuter for him. He buys cars A LOT. like 25 in 9 years. He did not push the warrantee business at all. The car is a 22 and still under the Ford 3/36. Not often you get the skinny on a used car. This man knew the car well, he was legit the previous owner.

Thanks again for the input on the tires. Without it I Wouldn't have looked at it. I pick it up on Tuesday.
